Couldn't have come out at a more perfect time for me. I have a Retroid Pocket 3+, and was looking for something more substantial for emulation and easier on the eyes with remote play. I was researching the current options and Valve just up and made my decision for me. Subbed to the kbin steam deck community today in anticipation.
I have a PS5 and was looking at remote play devices. This OLED steam deck seems like a pretty ideal candidate, in my opinion. 720p is kind of a downer, but I think an OLED deck would make up for it in other ways.
16gb is always better, and I usually recommend it to people looking to buy a Mac, but they aren’t wrong about Macs handling RAM more efficiently. They still sound arrogant af when using that as their excuse, though.
Finally reached trails of cold steel II. Been playing every game accessible to me from the series by order of release. I think this is the halfway mark.
I just think it's corporate interests, not fear, that's driving this. Terror and Children are just the easiest excuse to ensure a lot of people go blindly along with it.
Yes. Possibly so China can afford defenses to prevent an invasion of China by China, because China seems to think it needs to invade China to make sure it knows it’s China.
I'm not disagreeing with you by saying this, but I can imagine Apple sweetening the prospect by adding an AppleTV "Pro" to the ecosystem that will play intensive iPhone games like this with controller support. Tack-on MacOS playability as well and 1 purchase could mean you can play your save no matter where you are, across any platform within the ecosystem. Again, not saying this will happen. Just imagining how it could go.
I installed all 100+ gb on my PS5, played 2 or 3 matches with a friend online, laughed a lot at how gruff-guy, teenage edge-lord it all was, then promptly deleted it in order to see if Destiny 2 was any better. (We're still playing Destiny 2, but have all but given up on ever understanding what the hell we're supposed to do in that game or how to even go about doing it.)
I went from a 5S (first phone) to a X, to a 12 mini. The "standard" size still feels like the outlier to me. However, my eyes aren't getting any better, and some apps don't bother to scale as well on a mini, so I don't think I'll mind ending up with a slightly larger phone in the future. I want to wait until the non-pro iPhone lineup gets the ability to take "spacial video" first, though. I think that's a feature I'd make frequent use of.
I currently use an adapter hub with the USB C port which has the HDMI out. There's an additional USB C port on that for charging, but I wonder if a headphone jack could operate out of that. Thanks for the suggestion.
