  • Sounds like an iOS problem for iOS users to deal with. If I have a family member with Android, we just agree on a chat service to use and iMessage isn’t even a part of that conversation. Older members who need help can get their stuff set up during a family visit, until which a few green bubbles won’t hurt anyone.

  • I will be surprised if the DLC isn’t paid this time around.

  • Not even remotely, but it does need one from Hello Games!

  • My friends brought me kicking and screaming into Unite, then world… it wasn’t until Rise that it finally clicked for me and became fun. Then I went back to world and was blown away.

  • Why not just use a different chat app? I have like 3 installed to accommodate people from different regions.

Edit. The very next reply answered this. Sorry.

  • By taking excellently processed photographs and sharing them on social media. At least that’s what I’d do!

  • Huh. When I communicate with Android friends, I just don’t use iMessage to make sure communication is solid. That’s an Apple problem as far as I’m concerned, but good on Android users for finding a way to make things a little nicer for Apple users I guess.

  • This Android app fixes those issues? That’s actually really impressive!

  • I’ve been using iOS for 15-20 years and have never heard anyone talk about bubbles. In fact, everyone I know has a 3rd party client installed to ensure chatting acrosd platforms is easy. If someone is giving you crap about the color of a bubble you don’t actually see on Android, they probably just don’t like you and are using the bubble as an excuse. They’re not worth your time. (Or they’re just joking around.)

It’s just strange to me that Android users have such a need to fix a thing that only apple users notice, and only Apple fanboys might actually care about.

  • Destiny 2 also happens to be a total confusing mess if you simply want to try to get into it now rather than seven years ago.

  • Why do people care so much about the color of their bubbles?

  • Maybe it’s because I’m getting older, but it always seems to me that kids are living in a world where they need to as present in their digital realities as much, if not more than, their actual ones. At work it seems like they are trying to be in two places at once sometimes.

  • I don’t know if this applies to your specific issue, but I’ve encountered situations on other hardware where the system recognizes the change of input device, but the emulators themselves do not. Try going into the emulator’s control settings to see if something needs to be configured there.

  • I had my first Chiaki4deck streaming session from my OLED and was blown away by how unnoticeable the latency and clear the image was. It literally felt like I was playing the game native to steam deck. Getting HDR support as well is going to be a real treat.

  • Been playing RDR Online with a friend, but had to make a new account because the email to my 10 year old account tied to my PlayStation is old and deleted, and rockstar support seems to be breaking the record for hottest garbage I’ve encountered so far.

  • I actually miss the adaptive triggers whenever I play on steam deck.

  • Are they not obligated to refund? They're basically just throwing out their customers' shit without permission.

  • Installing a launcher like this seems complicated enough that Ubisoft will have to offer a bigger carrot than just AC Syndicate to get me to jump through those hoops.

  • There’s a stereotype that Apple enthusiasts are incapable of recognizing the stupid side of Apple. It’s annoying because we’ve usually already bitched about it and moved on before all the PC bros catch on and try to make a big “gotcha” out of it. It’s fine for a good circle jerk, but it’s not actually going to make Apple enthusiasts just suddenly choose windows.

  • I really wish they and all other advertising companies would spend more time thinking about why people hate and go through so much effort to avoid ads, then innovate ways to address that problem rather than spending so many resources coming up with ways to force users to adhere to advertising they hate.
