Is it really so much effort for you to stand on the right side instead of the left? Why can't we just be nice to eachother

Have you seen that somebody was working on ai selection tools? It seems to work quite well and completely locally

I would personally recommend the base distros and I am a big fan of Fedora myself. Has been rock solid for the last 4 years or so. Although you'll have to choose a desktop environment as well. I use gnome, which imo just looks and feels really good, although it's not as easy to customise. You can also pick KDE, which looks more like windows by default but you have so many settings it's a bit too much imo.
You can always change the desktop later if you really want to, so pick whatever you think you'll like best

• I was still missing a bunch of posts after that, so I went back to settings and saw that 'undefined' was deselected again. That's when I realised that you have to ctrl click each language you choose or else it just deselects the previous language that you clicked on.

This actually took me multiple months to figure out, Lemmy felt like a ghost town, now it feels like a small town at least

It works better if you think about the raw materials rather than the whole product;

Reduce the amount of plastic you use
Reuse the plastic you already have
Recycle the plastic you can't use anymore

It also depends a lot on the height of your car, my car is very low and the amount of times I get blinded is considerably higher than in a higher car.

Also as a sidenote, low beams on new cars seem to be just as bright as the high beams. Turning on the high beams just raises the projection, whereas it used to actually increase the brightness aswell

Im not sure if you've actually seen bright German LED headlights, because they are otherworldly. Older lights, even bright Xenon lights are no match for those blinding LEDs

The brightness is absolutely a problem, it doesn't matter how well they are adjusted, when the car hits a bump or comes over a crest, it's going to blind oncoming traffic

You didn't know? You can't have Bluetooth, a USBC port and a headphone jack at the same time. You gotta pick 2 of the 3

Yes, it's very annoying to have a question and then having to ask it in a non-active community, instead of the active one. But please don't make a stickied thread dedicated for support questions. Those get even less traction
