  • Installing on the second drive (your Western Digital nvme drive) should leave Windows intact on the first drive. You'll have to go into Bios setup when you restart, then pick the WD drive to be prior to the drive with Windows on it in the boot order.

  • I would choose the Erase Disk option using your WD nvme drive. That should fully reformat the drive for use. I installed Kubuntu on an external ssd just over a week ago. Using it to run my desktop system, and liking it for the most part. Want to make a full switch if I can resolve a couple issues. Hope it goes well for you!

  • Put in for a replacement power pack on Friday. Just had to enter the order number from Amazon, and upload two pictures of the power pack including the model and serial number. Bought the recalled one in 2018, and it was still working fine when I charged and used it last month. Oh well, I'll drop it off for recycle next trip to the county waste facility.

    Heat setting magnets is bad.

  • Are your oven's thermometer and kitchen scale within their calibration due dates? Is that timer NIST traceable? The measuring cups ARE Class A glassware, aren't they? Please, at least tell me you're getting your ingredients from certified suppliers... No, the spices from the dollar store down the road are most definitely NOT on the approved list, no matter how cheap they were! Dear Lord, how are you going to blame the recipies when your kitchen is still operating in the Dark Ages?

  • Estwing 22oz smooth faced ripping/framing hammer. Bought one about 30 years ago when I was doing roofing and framing work. Still use it all the time. Comfortable and durable, great for construction and demolition work. Does a nice job digging out stubborn nails. If I could only have one hammer in my tool bag, that's what it would be.

  • If you have an enclosure, I would say try out ASA. Similar to ABS, I've found it makes some really nice parts that are tough and UV resistant. Great for things you want to leave outdoors. Otherwise TPU is useful stuff too, and no heated chamber required. I was using it this weekend to print up seals and grommets for a trailer I'm rewiring. It's nice being able to print up some parts I need rather than making a drive to the hardware store and hoping they'll have something I can use.
