  • That... Makes a lot more sense. Been watching too many camping videos online I suppose.

  • Sweeeeet!

Toyota just announced a revival of the Celica at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon 2 days ago!

  • Yum! Looks like a great cheese sauce. Pine is an interesting addition.

I have to get a little experimental around the kitchen too. It's been day 266 and still no tomatoes.

  • It's like a computer virus but spread by a human. Everything is becoming a Trump media megaphone. Hate and arguments are now good engagement analytics.

Prepare for a wave of unmoderated enshittification the likes of which has no rival.

  • Oh thanks! That's great news. Every box I've read says it needs the Aqara hub or doesn't work with 3rd party hubs. Especially on Amazon.

  • Neat multi-sensor gizmo. I just started with ZigBee stuff in home automation and this seems like it has a lot of possibilities. However, I passed over Aqara in general as they seem to work only with their own hubs. If I'm wrong, let me know, but I try to avoid product lock-in.

  • Wait, what?

So you take a pic, it's analysed, the analysis is encrypted, encrypted data is sent to a server that can deconstruct encrypted data to match known elements in a database, and return a result, encrypted, back to you?

Doesn't this sort of bypass the whole point of encryption in the first place?

Edit: Wow! Thanks everyone for the responses. I've found a new rabbit hole to explore!

  • Edit: Nevermind, wrong advice.

  • Ahhh reminds me of my youth.

Tried to build these in our garage with PVC pipe, a blowtorch (to heat and bend tubes), and a shop vac.

Went about as well as you can imagine, but still had a blast.

  • Why would they?

Infighting weakens the caste. Besides, what are you going to do about it?

  • GPU ram could behave like this.

A chunk of dying ram would affect sections of code allowing proper rendering of cursers over garbled backgrounds.

Also, a restart could reset the ram for a while bringing it back from the dead.

  • That duo is getting some serious overtime pay next year. /politics

  • 1999

I got a cable modem for my birthday that year. Ha!

No speed caps, and I hit a whopping 4Mbps download. It was faster than the local highschool. Sweeeeet.

  • A tyrant's rage

    A nation divide

    Like toddlers tears

    When rattles denied

    "That was my thing!"

    Now broken plans

    As he wipes a tear

    with little hands

    Biden stole

    His hateful thunder

    Who's next in sight?

    I mustn't wonder.

  • To be fair, he's also surprising his voters by doing dumb ass shit he didn't say he would too...

  • There are some really efficient systems out there, but power requirements depend a lot on what is run.

A simple website is very different that a photo gallery running content ID for example.

  • 2004 Honda Accord Coupe. Yup, screens even back then. (On the fancy models)

It's... a trooper. First thing I did after I bought the car was purchase the service manuals for $400. It's so easy to maintain.

I looked that up for my partners newer car. Annual subscription to a service manuals is $1500+.

  • Some cars do! Mine shows diagnostic info for the can bus and GPS by holding down a "secret" button combination. I'm sure other manufacturers do that too.

  • Ohh good point. Have a call center friend; heard stories...
