  • lol the only specialist tool you need is the pentalobe screwdriver and a suction cup. None of the rest is needed, it just makes it easy.

And unlocking the hardware for use just requires calling Apple support and saying “hey I’ve replaced this part and need it unlocked, here’s the serial”.

Nothing in an iPhone is solidly glued in. The battery has a couple of pull tabs to make it easy to remove. Something like a Samsung it’s damn near impossible to remove because the entire battery is glued down.

  • lol ok.

The vast majority of androids are worse for repairability. The ones that get more than a year or two of support don’t have any parts available. The ones that do get support have far worse physical restrictions like straight up gluing parts in.

The rest you mention, >99% of people don’t do anyway.

  • Because unless they have been outright lying in all of their specs, the entire body is made up of the same thick stainless steel that they have shown to be literally bulletproof.

It’s 4x as thick as current sheet metal used in other vehicles, and twice as thick as the steel bumpers used in old cars that didn’t have crumple zones.

That combined with the fact that they have stated that all of the strength and rigidity for the truck comes from the exoskeleton, that would preclude being able to crumple.

They have not made safety a priority in anything on this monstrosity. The windows are are all laminated and shatterproof, meaning you can’t break them to escape if there’s a fire or you end up underwater and the body is bulletproof meaning that it can’t be torn open with the jaws of life if you need to be extracted.

    It’s a giant metal coffin.

  • Terminally online people say this, but their annual profit has increased year over year except for 2020 when everything was shut down.

They had a 9.6% increase yoy from 2022. Which was itself a 5% increase from 2021.

And even with Covid they rebounded to exactly where they were as soon as the shutdowns hit.

They went down 12.7% from 2019 to 2020, but went back up 29% for 2020-2021 and has increased ever since.

So the question of who is gonna eat there is answered. It’s everyone except you apparently. Everyone else keeps buying and pushing their revenue and profit higher year over year.

They have had 2 bad years in the last 15. They probably know a wee bit more than the average Lemming.

  • It would eliminate someone being able to get your username or password via this method though. Because you never have to type them in.

With my MacBook I can use either touchid or my watch to automatically unlock it, so I don’t even have to type my password in to get into my laptop. And then I use touchid and Keychain for all my passwords so I never have to type those in either.

  • You own it as long as they have a license to host and stream it.

They should be offering refunds for this at least, but you literally cannot own something that permanently lives on someone else’s device.

If you want to truly on something, you need to control physical access to it. If there is an option to download the media when you buy it, and you can store it on your own device, then you own it. If not, then you only have access as long as you’re paying someone else for access to their storage.

  • The Christian population in Gaza has declined by 2/3 since 2009, when there were about 3,000 total. Today there are fewer than 1000.

Hamas has made a huge push to either get them to convert or leave, and have killed dozens.

And why compare them to al Qaeda? Why not the Taliban?

They have a formal alliance with the Taliban, and both are the governments of their state. Both have pretty much the same platform as well, and both are officially opposed to AQ because AQ competes with them for power.

  • I’m not sure what his point even is here.

If advertisers fleeing kills it, then all he’s saying is that he doesn’t have a product that can survive on its own and requires being an attractive platform for advertisers to survive. And by advertisers fleeing they’re saying it’s not an attractive platform to advertise on anymore.
