Not only that, but in the reddit T&C, the only ones that can IP ban are admins, but they allow bots and algorithms that search all users IPs and will continue to ban the ones that have had a banned account

With a VPN, it's not a static IP, and you can still log in to banned accounts regardless. You can surf and lurk, but can't contribute.

If you have a site wide ban, that most likely means you have IP ban. Admin doesn't give a shit because you being banned isn't impacting their bottom dollar. Odds are that even if are able to speak to an admin they're just gonna tell you no
