  • id imagine part of the deal on getting first dibs on xbox full screen mode is that they werent allowed to officially support Steam OS. Lenovo is on the opposite end of the relationship where they had a legion go s run with steam os, but was not invited to use xbox full screen.

  • welcome to the tech world, where trying to cozy with competition can lead to blacklists.

take for example, there are oems who used to make Nvidia gpus, tried to do a side AMD hustle and got blacklisted by Nvidia (e.g XFX), and Nvidia has not so many good relationships with some of its old partners (EVGA, Apple)

SteamOS exists because of Valves fear of the chance that Microsoft would blacklist or strongarm the platform into a more appstore like experience.

big tech companies hold a lot of fucking power

  • the mininum is dictated by the rest of the components and decision to limit future upgrades down the line.

after you are aware of what cpu you are using

amd and intel sub 250 cpus usually 150w or less

amd high end and alderlake(12gen, and arrowlake), peaks at 250w

intel raptor lake (13-14th gen) 300w

hedt cpus like threadripper fall under a similar class.

peak 5060ti is just under 200w alone.

add an arbitrary 50w to cover rest of components.

  • its only guaranteed because of the amount of time the surgery took in the end. if it was shorter, it would have been averted. (say if it eas hour 10 or 20, would have been still negligent but they would probably be alive. the actual time was double that)

basically there was a chain of decisions and events that led to the deaths, but she still chose the one where the worst outcome was potentially death.

  • they knew she had children, but im not completely aware she asked the day of the appointment or not. its completely possible she asked when booking the appointment on a different day. its just at some point the establishment was asked.

edit: it mentions earlier in the day. so there was no guarantee that the staff KNEW the kids were out there during the appointment, but knew she had kids.

whether they knew she took them with her for the appointment is a different question thats yet to be answered

  • its a ton of nomura minigames and disney attractions in combat which draw away from kingdom hearts imo.

i recommend disabling the disney attraction skills because they really detract from the combat

also given how you talked about the games, if you never played any of the other non numbered kingdom hearts games, you might not want to play 3.

EVERY GAME, including the rhythm and mobile games, are canon in Kingdom Hearts.

1 was the start and the only game before 2 was 1 and Chain of memories. 3 in the ideal situation, requires the user to have played like i dont remember, 10 different games.

  • how i see it, pcgamer sometimes has high effort posts like this and other times has some really low effort posts, sometimes almost cyclical as they often use the same image pool over several topics (e.g its a meme that anything witcher related, pcgamer will use geralt in a tub as a header image)

because of the less serious posts, it kinda blots out the more serious ones.

  • im not against leds, but I hate rainbow barf mode. paert of the things I enjoy is uniqueness of builds, via small or big customizations, and adressable rgb helps, but too many people keep it at default which causes too many fucking builds to look the same.

  • if you have a garage, design a method to basically ensure your garage door is closed without you needing to go back to check.

of course if you trust yourself with never making that mistake.

last thing you want to feel is if you remembered to close the door or not and youre already far off

  • i have a coworker who worked at an airport, and while people who worked nightshift made more money, their increased chance of recreational drug use and lack of vitamin d from sunlight did not do wonders for their aging.
