  • I'm not the person you're responding to but I think he was more referring to the shoe horned women issues bit. Like how half the plotline revolves around men being useless pigs and how she has no trouble being a hulk because she's a woman and she's been controlling her anger her entire life (???).

Like it doesn't feel like it's part of her life story but rather it feels like someone told a writer "make it wooookeeee we need to appeal to womeeeeennn". It mostly felt shoe horned in to me. Like that space show where all the characters are teenagers each from a different race and they spend the first few episodes making sly comments about race and gender like it was some woke teenage drama show

  • Will you tho? With the cost of a new battery and how they're wear items?

Its not like ICE cars with good engines that can go 300k km in the original engine if you take good care of it. Batteries just degrade no matter what and these days they're charging almost the price of a new ICE car to replace them

  • But if the base price is 60k and a replacement battery costs something like 30 even used cars are going to be too expensive. You're thinking like they're ICE cars where you might be able to buy an old shitbox for 5k and maybe rebuild the engine for the same amount.

I hardly see that happening with these smartphone cars. Lithium battery s would need to get really cheap and a lot of consumer protection laws would have to be passed to keep manufacturers from charging whatever they want for replacing them like they do now.

  • Macros man, being able to record a macro and use it quickly and easily is worth it's weight in gold when you're doing something super repetitive that there are no automatic refactors for.

And i hate the "modern sleek design" culture of making all the options hidden and difficult to reach. Notepad s interface is so fucking clean and usefull.

I still use intellij because of a lot of other things but quite often I find myself using notepad for specific tasks and it's such a treat

  • I ment in the sense of this platform existing to avoid outside intervention. Or am I mistaken in thinking the whole point of a federated system is to avoid corporate and political intervention allowing a "truly" flee platform?
