  • Its not so much having friends to vet them.

its meeting new people that seem, for all intents and purposes, cool and mellow people.

Then you make the mistake of sending them an off-platform friend request and are quickly brought to realization that the only thing keeping them cool and mellow was the platforms rules and reporting.

I got duped like that once in a game, Kept running into eachother and playing together, so sent them an out of game friend request.. Immediately received a massive tirade about what they really thought about trans people, and gays, and other various topics. 100% unprompted, and out of the blue 0-100 in .00237 second.

The only reason I didnt immediately block them was because I was too stupified and took me a solid minute to gather myself. Ended up having to block them in game, too.. Which I think resulted in them being banned, since they sent me a huge message in game about i must be one of those liberal trans homosexuals since i blocked him after his "truth" or whatever bullshit. Reported his ass, and never saw him again.

Crazy is super good at concealing itself, until it thinks you are a compatriot.

  • I have a razer mouse, the OSS alternative for linux has never worked perfect.

Often times it forgets the color settings, which admittedly isnt a big deal and not life altering.

but the clutch has never worked, and considering I have hand tremors, that clutch really helped me with sniping in games on windows, and now its just a dead feature i can never use on linux.

  • Tomatoes are good man.

Sliced and put in a sandwich.

Sliced and served cold with salt and pepper.

chopped on a taco, or in a salad/wrap.

    Make into soup.

    cooked down into sauce.

but not fried. Fried green tomatoes are shit and taste awful.

  • It would almost be worth going to hell as a nonbelieving heretic if I could see Jesus actually return and start whipping republicans and evangelicals through the street while they decry him as a child grooming liberal homosexual communist.

  • I miss video rental stores.

The exploration, the smell of fresh popped popcorn, the excitement.

Find things you never thought you'd like..Things you'll never find today cause you're slaves to the algorithm.

  • I was considering Linux mint, since its something new, but still on a familiar debian base and and familiarity with things like ppas which make getting software easier than compiling it.

but I'll read up more on Nobara. Just concerned that I'll be back to day 1 know nothing switching bases.

  • Being noob friendly is why I chose it.

I'm not a programmer or a sysadmin, My linux experience is entirely contained to the past 5-6ish years I've used it to avoid using Windows 10.

Every single problem I've had, no matter how ultimately minor it was, has been a enormous fuckin ordeal to figure out and solve, in large part due to the 15+ years of ancient, non-relevant knowledge.

So I'm probably gonna end up switching distros soon, since i'm tired of troubleshooting and still have weird, minor shit happening.. Just frustrated a bout doing it because I finally got steamtinkerlauncher working properly, which was an ordeal in and of itself.

And its gotten to the point I even hate talking about the issues I have, cause someone inevitable swoops in and be like "Well, just run (command) -help" to figure out what to do, and I'm all like.. okay, fucking great. That doesnt help because I dont know whats fucking wrong. Cant use -help if I dont know what command i need to fix this weird problem that no internet searches are showing me any kind of solution or even a hint for.

edit Sorry, apparently my annoyance boiled over into a rant.

  • Because we don't have spaceships to go out into the universe to collect it, so all we have is what has been trapped in deposits underground.

and a lot of it has been wasted on stupid shit like party balloons, and the overwhelming majority of the population does not understand how critically important helium is to manufacturing and medicine.

  • I am growing to dislike Ubuntu.

Simply because its so old, that anytime I try to find a solution to a problem, I'm wading through 15 years of shit, 99% of which isnt relevant anymore due to age/depreciation.
