  • They don't. You have to put the kitten in the box. The boxes and litter are designed to meet their natural preferences of being able to hide themselves and their excretions, so sticking the kitten in the box a few times is usually enough for them to recognize it as a safe place to go.

  • I'm pretty sure they typically look at the cost of "replacing" the dog. Which is to say, if you spent $400 on an adoption fee, you'll probably get $400, maybe a little more to account for inflation if you're lucky. If you bought a dog for $2,000, you'll probably get about $2,000. Nevermind if you spent thousands of dollars in training and vet fees, food, toys, etc.

At this point, it must be close to $20,000 that I have invested in my one dog who ended up having health problems (she's almost two!). Would I get that back if somebody killed or stole her? Hell no. Should I? Hell yes.

  • My guess is that it appeals to a sizable minority of people while at the same time not turning off the majority of people because they know it's just actors who aren't truly related.

I prefer my porn not to have any story to it at all, but that doesn't stop me from watching the stuff which hamfists a story into it. I just skip to what I want to see.

  • Oh, I like it spicy. They ship pretty well if you know somebody who lives somewhere that they're more readily available. Until I found somewhere to buy fresh peanuts locally, I occasionally had a family member ship them to me from Florida. They might be available online, too.
