  • Unfortunately self-hosting requires a technical level that the vast majority doesn't have or wish to develop. I totally understand why some people don't want to fuck around with their own digital infrastructure, it's a huge pain in the ass sometimes, and when something goes wrong (at it will at some point) you can quickly get to a place where the skill to get it running is nowhere near enough to fix it.

  • It's the opposite...included in everything because it's part of both the paid and the free plan.

  • Its free blud stop spreading misinfo

If its free its still included in the premium tier "blud"... The commenter I was answering was asking if its a separate paid plan, and it's not.

  • Almost immediately I would say. It only took a handful of pulls to get a good feel for it. I did buy the pressure gauge with it from the get go, I would definitely recommend that. Getting the whole process of preheating the brew chamber and getting everything ready in a streamlined manner takes a little practice though.

I use a TimeMore C3 manual grinder, and it does an OK job, especially for the price. I'm probably going to upgrade it (at some point) since it lacks some resolution in the grind settings.

I'm getting better and more consistent shots with this than my old semiautomatic brewer (a delonghi something, can't remember the model)

  • I use a flair classic lever brewer, and it's the only thing i brew coffee with on a daily basis. I use a French press or pour over when I have guests.

  • Uh, it even runs POE, I just use a sonoff USB dongle...I've just been using my lightbulps and 230VAC relays as receivers/routers for nearby battery powered ZigBee units. There's always a mains powered ZigBee device within good range so it can reach my server in the laundry room.

  • Ah fair enough, didn't know they also had a VPN service.

Does bitwarden integrate with something like simplemail to create unique addresses on the fly for accounts you create? That's the feature I like the most about protons PW manager. I can easily just create a new mail address for an account somewhere that automatically forwards to my proton mail, but I can also answer with that unique mail from my proton mail.

I don't use my mail for storage, and santiize content often, so I only need a few mb.

The 500gb on the drive is more than enough for my photo backup. There's almost 10 years worth of photos on mine and I still have plenty space left.

  • Mega doesn't come with VPN, encrypted email and PW manager with integrated simplemail that ties in to your proton mail.

Different levels of service of course costs different amounts. If you don't want or need any of the other things, then yeah Mega could be the best option for you.

  • Ah OK, the thread on the nozzle just looked too short and a bit like it was broken at an angle.

  • Wait...did the nozzle crack in to two parts!?

  • TBH you could replace "elon musk" with "company" just as well. Unfortunately this is general behaviour that has been demonstrated more than once by companies wanting to create hype about their product.

  • Doesn't help if no one picks up the ball on manufacturing spare parts. Manufacturing medical devices is really expensive, even more so when you have to do small batches of niche hardware, and requires fairly special manufacturing capabilities so it's not easily done by anyone.

  • Defrost will have the windshield clear of ice in about 3min on mine.

  • In what world does walking 2-300m take 20min? What a ridiculous hyperbole...

  • I start the AC from my office which is probably 2-300m from my car with a large building between. That's far outside the range of a key FOB, but it's nice and cold in the summer (or warm on the winter) when I get to it.

  • This is probably rather US specific, 2G is used for emergency services many places in Europe so it's not easily disposed of.

  • 2G is still operational pretty much everywhere. It's still the lowest level fallback for telecommunications.
