  • SFW furry? There's kinda no such thing.

You realize that you're the one sexualizing them, right?

There absolutely are people who have a fursona or participate in the fandom in completely SFW ways. A fursona tells you exactly nothing about their sexual preferences. Honestly you sound exactly like homophobes insisting that two boys holding hands is obscene. Just because you equate a fursona with sex doesn't mean that every furry thinks the same way.

  • Thank God we are cutting out this wasteful science. It will pay for half of an F-35. We're buying an extra F-35, of course, so it's a net loss, but our budget is unlimited for the military.

  • Yeah. Teaching sucks and I don't know why anyone puts up with it. Mad respect and solidarity to all the teachers out there.

Doesn't mean they don't like Gen Z. They're overworked and underpaid. But I can't stress enough that that's our fault. (I might put more blame on the Boomers running things.) We're not prioritizing education and you can't blame the people in school for that.

  • a gold digger

    the husband

Why use a perjorative for her and not him?

Surely the 65 year old marrying a 24 year old deserves exactly as much shame as she does. Do you think his motives are any less selfish than hers?

  • One day, maybe white people will be held responsible for other white people the way you hold minorites responsible for their families. Maybe then you'll understand how dumb it is to cherry pick the few worst of you, and pretend that they're representative of the bunch. It is amazing how many white liberals are excited to see innocent people punished because someone who looks kinda like them voted for Trump.

  • What part of "undocumented immigrants can't vote" did you miss there?

You've constructed this image of undocumented immigrants who support Trump, which is plainly stupid. In any group, maybe some people are idiots. But you're trying to pretend that that's ALL undocumented immigrants, masking your bloodthirst behind a few "If" statements.

Volunteer for a local charity that helps immigrants. If you see a bunch of MAGA caps then you might have something to say. I don't expect that to happen.

  • Generalizations only work so well. Some millennials chastise Gen Z and some support them.

I am an Eldritch millennial and everyone that I know thinks Gen Z is pretty awesome. We're just trying to hold the world together for them.

  • It is both. It is a symptom of the inequality that my parents suffer and a driver of mine. Generational poverty is terrible for a society.

I think some people are reading an attack where none is meant. The article isn't chastising people for helping their kids. It's pointing out that that help is necessary now in ways that it was not before.

The article is "people cannot excel without support and if we like to imagine ourselves as a meritocracy we need to fix that".

  • Okay.

So you are suggesting that an appropriate response to a humanitarian crisis is "good luck with that" because...some of their relatives voted Republican?

Do you feel responsible for all of your relatives, or is it just immigrants?

  • Did the article say it's "not the super wealthy billionaires driving inequality" or did you just add that?

It's good to talk about ALL drivers of inequality, don't you think? The article is correct to point out that in today's economy, if you don't have your parents support, you have many fewer opportunities. That is a systemic issue that society should try to rectify.
