I love how the Atlantic called around to the various government offices who should care about this stuff: "Hey, are you sure there's nothing classified in here? If this is too sensitive to print, just tell us and we won't print it." This has been a study in covering your ass and making sure the reporter doesn't become the story, as much as the administration would love for it to.

It really does show how stupid this country is about waving "National Security" for any matter that would make the administration look bad.

The problem with that is that a guy who murdered his three kids is known for something.

At the most generous, maybe the professor in the article shares a name with the killer. Articles will include enough information to clear the professor (like maybe the killer has been in jail for a decade ). A LLM will weave together real information about the professor with the "fact" that he killed his kids.

ChatGPT shouldn't be used to find any real information, period.

When Republicans need Democratic votes to pass something, that means Democrats should get something in return. When Dems are in power, they water down legislation and say they need to do that to court Republicans who still don't vote for the bill. When Dems are in the minority, they vote with Republicans and complain about not being able to do anything.

One of Bernie's biggest flaws is that he's working with the Democrats.
