  • Awesome, what I would also do is to annotate them like this:
    \ [💛🤍💜🖤](https://nonbinary.wiki/wiki/Nonbinary)
    \ [💜🤍💚](https://nonbinary.wiki/wiki/Genderqueer)
\ (I used NonBinary wiki for these pages but you could use any of the Wikis).

That way people can hover over them to see the link to the page describing what they are and visit it to learn more.

  • Some devices don't render emojis or render colored ones unfortunately.

  • I pinned an array of colored hearts in the pattern of the Agender flag, annotated to the Agender wiki page on Miraheze. Since I wanted to have a way to fetch it quickly when I want to use it.
    \ 🖤🩶🤍💚🤍🩶🖤

I bet you didn't know there were grey hearts, I didn't know that until recently.

  • You shouldn't be copying those into the clipboard in the first place. Even if your clipboard clears automatically it's still easily sniffed. Passwords should be in your password manager or your browser's saved password database, not in your clipboard though.

  • “But its in France” is a weak excuse at best. This is reminiscent of the BS 14 eyes marketing people try to use to convince users not to use Mullvad as a VPN.

Thank you, now we're devolving into the territory of misrepresentation and an apples to oranges comparison. Let's start with the bad comparison. A VPN is a very different beast than a Seedbox, as VPNs relay connections and don't host content. Now of course where they are based does indeed matter but even in the case of Mullvad their main base of operations isn't even based in France, it's in Sweden, so this whole comparson is rubbish and if you'd had bothered to check you would have seen that. Moreover a seedbox or debrid service unlike a VPN is a hosting service, they download and cache torrents. So if they are based in a country currently waging war against hosting of copyrighted content, and services are receiving takedown requests they are very likely to be also hit. Which is why AllDebrid and Debrid-Link are being recommended against by OP and others (me included).

I’m not sure how you can keep believing what you are saying with every passing day proving you are wrong. How many more days before you admit your were full of shit?

Prove me wrong, prove that RealDebrid will last through this, not technically, I mean that it will remain useful for Pirated streaming and that they won't start deleting cached data. If they don't do it and these changes get walked back I will happily admit to being wrong. Otherwise you're no different to any of the other dipshits from r/RealDebrid trying to encourage people to continue paying for a service about to become very useless in the weeks or months to come (or getting angry that people are requesting refunds or chargebacks).

How about just trying not to get caught in the hype for a few days and, wait for something to actually break for longer then a few hours? Instead of making outlandish claims based on one tweet probably written by lawyers.

Agreed, let's wait and see. In the meantime I and OP are still not encouraging others to buy into a service like this which will likely just go out. Instead encouraging people to use different services that aren't based and hosted in the country going to town on the current one over piracy. And if you don't like it either suck it up or seethe and whine.

But hey let’s see who the real troll is, put your money where your mouth is and bet me. Shoot me a DM with terms, we can get a signed contract (I’m assuming your a payment risk) and I’ll be happy to take some money off you. It can pay for my RD sub.

I don't answer you, or other disreputable people online who claim they are reputable and make bad-faith arguments. Your desire to try and challenge me for bets or dares does tell me all that I need to know, I will not respond to this conversation any more as it has long outlived any level of usefulness or constructiveness. Goodbye.

  • This list is inaccurate as I’ve already pointed out but stay on your high horse lol.

Telling people to switch services when the service they have actually works and then giving an inaccurate list of services to switch to, is not as helpful as you think it is.

Considering that you actually haven't pointed out how this list is inaccurate in this comment thread. Just said that people should keep using the service and paying for it, and that it's not going away (service itself isn't but the content it is used for is, making it useless), despite the fact that it will almost certainly begin to become much less useful due to the nature of this event. If you're talking about the inclusion of AllDebrid OP has explained that they are within the same Jurisdiction as RealDebrid, a jurisdiction known to have powerful copyright trolls, and we're not in the bussiness of telling people to use and pay for services that are basically guaranteed to leave people in the same situation as this one.

Also pointing to a 4 day old tweet about what RD is going to do in the “coming hours” as “writing on the wall” , when the service still works is hilarious.

I think you being so hardcore in-denial of this crackdown despite the notice being from them officially is even more hilarious. What was done with addons that use RealDebrid is a workaround of API changes, if/when they delete/ban the infringing cached torrents this isn't going to help.

I'm confident that you are a troll at this point. I don't see how someone could look at their message and keep claiming RD is fine and "not going anywhere" in good faith.

  • They're probably one of the people who were back on r/RealDebrid or r/Addons4Kodi who were blatantly in-denial that anything would ever happen to RealDebrid, and still are in denial about it. Despite the evidence being clear and straight from the horse's mouth.

  • You know what, do as you wish, just like @Sunny@slrpnk.net already said. It's your money and you're free to waste it. However this list and advice is here to help people who desire not to waste their own money not end up wasting their own. Now they've already given an official annoucement on their Twitter that they are taking steps to limit or action illegal content. If you wish to not see the writing on the wall that's up to you, but it does exist and it is happening.

  • I wasn't promoting the other communities in this post as they are mostly abandoned. The goal with creating this one is to have a new one which is actively managed. Something that isn't really the case in the others.

  • Yeah I agree, it's the contrast and colors that really matter, hence why OLEDs are becoming more popular and content looks much better on OLEDs even if it's just 1080p or even 720p

  • If you click the lemmyverse.link url in the post it should redirect to the one on your home instance or the local version on lemmy.dbzer0.com Also I wasn't aware there were two others. I knew about the lemmy.ml one (hence why I also posted on !de_ml@lemmy.blahaj.zone but I didn't know about the other ones on world or giftedmc.com (instance I never even heard of).

  • They removed some APIs and are blocking some torrents by name, other torrents may still work for now but don't get too comfortable though. They will likely start removing the cached torrents with copyrighted content in the future.

  • Yeah, it will likely meet the same fate as RealDebrid in the future.

  • Why would someone pay for RD for that instead of just using the torrent there directly or the direct download from the servers? I don't know it seems like overkill to use a debrid service for something like that.

  • For example, when I was a kid, I was always annoyed by how the photos I took of what I thought was a gorgeous landscape, and then developed the film (yes, I’m an old) it always looked horribly bland and drab.

Must have been terrible film (or was scanned/printed badly, or maybe poor development process). I found that most pictures I've taken digitally (before I got a modern higher quality digital camera) looked awful, but the ones I took on film look amazing and had better color depth than many of the earlier digital cameras and especially the digital cameras on phones. Of course modern digital cameras are much better both in color depth, resolution, and also less noise in the image, and since you can reuse the picture medium, which you can't do with film (which can get expensive if you take a lot of pictures), they're way worth it today.

  • I agree, it was the best way I could describe the behavior, since they think they are elites even though they absolutely are not.

  • I didn't say ask them for a refund. I said get your money back. A chargeback is more than fair in this case considering their service is already or about to become worthless. Yeah they'll probably ban the account but they don't have the leverage anymore to threaten you not to do that because yet again, the service is worthless at this point.

  • So... angry downvote trolling/brigading?

  • I was mainly taking a jab at the original Kodi addons community which had a lot of very toxic and elitist people in it which would bully people for not wanting to buy, specifically, RealDebrid to use for addons which only work with RealDebrid. These people are very much screwed now because many of those addons were RealDebrid exclusive and are effectively broken because of it. They were warned about this many times before and they laughed at the people who warned them about this happening.
