  • Although I think I have a lot of time to get the same thing as possible but I don't know what to do with it but I think I have a lot of time to get it done before I get back to the office and I don't know what time it is to go to the store and then I can get it from you and I will be there around the same time as I can get the same thing as I can do it for you to get it done before you get back to the store and then you can get the same time as you can get the same time as you can get the same time as you can get the same time as you can get the same time

    I go shopping a lot I guess?

  • I don't doubt your numbers, but that wasn't the point I was making. Guns may be more common, but it isn't common to let your children play with them. It is, however, common to let your children play in the pool.

  • Oh man, that screenshot of Progress Quest gave me instant nostalgia

  • Pools are more dangerous than owning a gun in the same way that vending machines kill more people than sharks.

People are near vending machines way more often than they are near sharks, and people let their kids play in the pool more often than they let them play with firearms

  • It's not ok for Bob to go after you with a rifle because threatening someone with a weapon is illegal by itself. Firing someone is not

  • Were you not aware that they are an unprofitable company that was just recently saddled with an unbelievably enormous sum of debt?

  • It's.the principle of it.

Sync's dev is being greedy. Most of the reason why I left Reddit was because they were being greedy.

    I'm not supporting that shit.

  • Sync isn't the type of app that needs to be worked on full time. It's an alternate interface of an existing website.

This price is too steep and I will either wait for it to go down or switch to another app when they become more full featured.

  • Friendly reminder that correlation does not equal causation.

Intelligence is the most likely mediator between those two variables. Intelligent people can grasp mathematical concepts easier and are more likely to use it, and intelligent people tend to shoot for higher paying jobs that challenge them.

  • That would be great, but it would lead to people not being as engaged in the site: the entire point of this corporate-sponsored research

  • I'm a neurology professor but I used to volunteer as a science camp counselor in college. Sometimes I feel like I want to go back and do it again.

  • Fun experiment time!

Take a glass of still water and a glass of sparkling water, and let it sit overnight. The sparkling water should have gone flat by then. Now taste them. Do they taste the same?

Edit: I don't think Liftoff's spoiler tags work

  • Half of those things still exist? On my galaxy I still use nav buttons, have different notifications sounds for different people and apps, and a ring around the camera lights up with different colors for notifications

  • "I know you want a name ending in wire, but all other Verb-wire names are taken!"

Exec: "Verbwire, perfect! Send the memo out"

  • Gantz was a trip back in the day. A bit like Squid Game (or rather, Squid Game is a bit like it), except more extreme.

It's been a few decades since I watched it... I wonder if it holds up?

  • The pregenerated characters are just companions that you would have encountered, but won't if you play as them. Not that ambitious IMO

  • Does your employer ask you for comments before they allow your other fellow employees to publish work?

I didn't think so. Yang doesn't own CNN. He just works there

  • If she turned herself in before she turned 18 she would have been forced to go back to the home she ran away from
