  • It's just reddit, but content is spread on multiple sites that talk to one another. There's some issues with the setup, such as content duplication, but as people learn the ins and outs (use crossposts, people), and the feature set upgrades, it should become better.

  • It's updates for the cybersecurity that exists strictly only because it is connected to the internet which in turn is something that exists strictly only because there's software updates.

Megaman Battle Network was prophetic. Terrorist will flood your house using a phone.

  • Reddit never did this, otherwise the communities barely hiding the fact they do hate brigades such as /r/conservative would have been banned.

You're just a professional victim, so you see victimization everywhere.

  • I imagine them getting the actual person and that person, whose best interest is the continuity of pirate-friendly ISP service, just goes and testifies literally against them for wasting their time.

"The community in which I made those comments is a joke community where you mostly state the exact opposite of your mind, no different from how /r/trees is actually about joking about drug use." "I have no further comment"

  • They're, in summary, extremely horny. They make groups of a couple dozen and form a somewhat open social hierarchy that is mostly matriarchal. The way this structure is defined and reinforced is with lots and lots of sex.

Oh and they're the second closest relative humans have.

  • While I think Picross S is, uh, spamming themselves on the Switch, this is sad to hear.

I love picross. I love Picross 3D quite a lot. And I think it wouldn't hurt Nintendo to make a small collaboration here. Wouldn't really cost one of the two main studios more than 3 people, and the use of the IP's is basically synergistic. Basically low commitment, kinda like that jump rope thing. Unless if they're morbidly short-staffed, which I feel they likely are not, but then again, the Switch 2 rumor mill has been spinning fast lately. Maybe they ARE trying to push out a bunch of titles for gold.

  • Played the demo. It was fine. You had to cook a meal using an old recipe that had some of the instructions faded out. It's basically a puzzle game where you work out the puzzle itself. A lot of the time was spent getting to know the couple (They're immigrants).

  • I find it has a lot of Discoverability issues. A lot.

But I don't actually know if Firefish solves it. I know it is a fork of Misskey, so by default it should have galleries and text search, but I'll figure out when I try it later today.

  • Earlier on Lemmy's life, there was someone here telling people of how many fake reddit stories they had written to places like Am I The Asshole using numerous alts.

And how they were convinced of doing it because they were an editor, and they were used to seeing so much badly written anecdotes with no respect for narrative or proper focus on details of importance... Until Reddit hapenned and flipped that. It was a source of far too many interesting and well edited stories and something was off. They were certain that the average person with a story to tell was far less educated in English, far less capable of shorthanding detail, than what Reddit had to offer on average, and the answer was that people were just using it as a creative writing exercise platform. So, they used it that way too, since they wanted to bea fiction writer.
