  • Who on the left and where did they switch to H2? Because that's news to me. Germany tried to carve out an "E-Fuel" subsidy in the EU thanks to its libertarian DOT minister, but that's a) literally meant as a drop-in replacement for gas and b) pretty much dead on arrival.

    Everything I've followed so far seems to indicate that while BEVs have problems, H2 ist just massively less efficient to produce, store, distribute and burn.

  • I used to drive a 30yr old converted fire engine as a camper /truck thing and let me tell you they don't like to get cold. Called ADAC (german AAA) four times in as many months before learning that these exist. From then on out come temps meant starting they motor from a power bank, not calling for help.

  • Counterpoint: I think this gets a bad rep because people overdo it. Personally, I think #000000 black text on white to be... Glaring? Like the stark contrast is hurting my eyes. Going for e. G. #444444 solves this while not sacrificing legibility. But then you get fancy #999999 super thin script on white and I'm right there with you.

  • That sounds annoying, but manageable. To be fair, I've never had a Linux system that did suspend gracefully, so I've started to suspect it's more a software issue with Linux in general.

  • Hopping on to the "I feel at home" train! One thing that really bugged me about the alternatives was that they weren't as smooth and fluid. Like I scroll down and it jumps, I scroll up, it jitters etc.

    Sync is the UI and the UX I've missed!
