It's seems like the current argument is that state rights matter less than federal rights, there should be no accountability, and tax money shouldn't be spent to benefit the people who are paying it

Hmm, if farmers had actually listened to their friends and neighbors instead of giant signs bought by the rich, they would have realized that Republicans were using them for their votes, so they could eventually fuck them over and create an environment that would force them to sell their land to corporate farm entities and real estate firms, since you know, they bribed him more.

See, the thing is, they needed farmer votes, and stupid fucking farmers walked right into their trap. Now they don't need farmers anymore, since the plan is to just steal every future election, and now farmers get to figure out what they're really worth to Republicans.

But hey, they got rid of a bunch of immigrants (and legal US citizens) so that most have helped reduce costs for farmers right? And sure, it seems like all they really care about is helping billionaires, but that will somehow end up helping you... In some way... At some time, right? And they kill right to repair acts, so now you have no fucking way to repair your multi million dollar farm equipment unless you want to get screwed. Oh, and they have no problems selling the water rights out from underneath you... Not that it would be that useful, after they've rolled back EPA protections and the ground water becomes too contaminated to use.

Trump is a F A G G O T. Seriously. In the old English sense. He is a chore, and a burden that will never be worth the effort expelled. That's all you have to say. put it in stickers, say it in casual conversation, then explain that it has nothing to do with sexuality.

Just simply stated that "I'm not down with any form of F A G G O T R Y, especially his kind. Why, are you?"

If they even respond, just press them on exactly what has gotten better for them PERSONALLY, since Trump got elected. Odds are, fucking nothing. Gas prices? Up. Egg prices? Up. 401k? Down. How's your union/trade job? Not looking nearly as well as last year. But your healthcare got better, right? And the value of your precious home that you paid to have built in the 90's for 100k on a half acre lot that cost 5k, was worth 1m last year. What's the zestimate today?

Hows your retirement going? You aren't going to miss those social security payments? How's your 401k doing, huh?

I think I fucking broke them to their core. The entire premise offered by Trump is that the 'right' kind of people would benefit. But fucking NO ONE IN AMERICA WHO WORKS FOR A LIVING HAS BENEFITED. Then I pressed on how they thought tariffs would help them (two retired old guys, 2 guys my age that did union work and factory type work). You guys gonna have layoffs because the price of the things you rely on to do your job are about to go up considerably?

I'm not trying to offend people, and I'm not trying to get banned or test the rules of Lemmy, but you have to understand American male mentality. The men that act the toughest and most aggressive, do so out of fear of ritucule for not being 'man' enough, and Trump is the epitomy of that mentality.

That is the failure of left wing politics, they want to be inclusive and respectful of everyone... But sometimes to defeat your enemy, you must do something that upsets an ally. A wise ally understands that, and allows it to happen for the greater good.

I don't believe in state performed executions. But I also realize that when treason has been committed to this extent, the only options are state sponsored execution, or mob justice, and the former is much more likely to prevent wide spread violence.

These people didn't get money from being smart. They got it from luck, and from violating laws that the government refused to enforce.

That's fine. Secure funding and munitions, build committed resistance groups. Let them know the funding situation, and that at some point your life line will become a leash, so keep enough spare equipment to blow off the arm that fed you for it's own purposes

Just a thought. Mother's Day is on May 11th. People with children, time to use leverage. If you have MAGAt parents (most likely a maga father and mother whose learned to ignore the worst in her husband) make it clear that they won't be able to see their grandkids for the month of May. You don't get to actively destroy the country/world you and your children have to live in, then expect us to give you access to your grand children. Period. My dad is a magat(although suddenly since Trump got elected and started tanking the stock market, and Tesla is on a downward spiral, his vocal support of Trump\Musk has suddenly gone silent).

He'll be dead before he realizes how wrong he was. Don't care, I'll get his money, and can use it to fund the resistance... But my mom, your mom, they do care, greatly. Not having access to grandkids will crush them. Put them to work, on the phones, calling representatives to demand for Trump's forceful removal. Make it clear that if Trump's still in office at the end of the month, the ban extends, and so on.

Their generation fucking sold out their own kids and got us into this mess. They aren't going to feel the effects of a taking economy and country for several years. But we can make our parents feel the effects immediately by denying them affection and contact. It is our right and it is our most powerful tool.

Make it clear they will either assist with the removal of Trump or they will be forgotten. No funeral, no burial, no grave site you'll be cremated and the ashes will be flushed down the toilet where they belong unless you undid what you have done.

It depends on where you are. I just drove thru a college campus the other day for the first time in years, and for it being one of the first really nice days, I have to say the student body was... Underwhelming
