Shit it's worse than that. They broke the cooperative so owners like me got no consideration in the deal. The groundwork had been laid for years - slowly freezing enthusiasts out of the board in favour of people with retail experience. The next phase was changing product mix to increase sale volumes over the best equipment for your sport.

I noticed it several years ago when I went to talk about paddles and the kid there said he hadn't been trained on that area yet. And I was like "trained? Don't you paddle?" And the kid said he'd bought a bike after he started working there but didn't really have a sport.

Sitting the lab as an undergraduate plunking away on an 8086 on a token ring network. Mostly telnetting into OLGA. Blew my mind.

I was in the field for years. A lot of the mice we had were maintained with one copy of the gene of interest and crossbred to produce experimental litters (there are a lot of reasons for it, some technical, some practical). But OMG the numbers of mice we went through just to maintain the lines. Forget about failed experiments etc.

This is a shame. I have a foot in the Emergency Management world and one of the things we always recommend is POTS - plain old telephone service. It's always worth having a landline around because it is very robust against network disruptions when communications count.

Prosecution doesn't need him. Rudy has lied and contradicted himself so often you simply couldn't put him on the stand. His testimony would be impeached within minutes. So his only value would be if he could provide background information that wasn't available through other means. Well they have all of his electronic devices (18 from his apartment alone!), all of his texts and emails, what else can he offer?

I have never been charged and I have brought a lot of liquor back over the years. Just be up front about it. They are more concerned about commercial operations than a consumer bringing back a couple hard to find bottles.
