  • Most of the people I know that complain about not being taught "real life skills" are absolute dumbasses that would have refused to pay attention anyway.

I had also been told this about something before where the guy had poured water on a flat top grill. As it was boiling off be was like "man this is real life right here, if school taught things like this I'd have paid attention" and I was like they did idiot you just didn't pay attention that's literally just water boiling smh lol

  • Yeah this is true. The TCL TV I have has an ad for Deadpool when I turn it on. It's a dumb TV in the sense of it's not connected to the Internet but it still has these from the brief period of time where it wasn't during setup. The ROKU tvs are even worse imo it has like weird scrolling banner ads as a TV screensaver. We have a Roku TV as well.

Honestly fuck all the manufacturers I don't even want a damn 'smart' TV and I'm also pissed at everyone else that enables this by not caring. I guess I helped perpetrate it also but I had no choice I would have bought differently if I could. A lot of people don't mind having non-stop ads jammed down their throats though even by objects they own. The only time I think my TV should be showing me ads is if it's literally free.

  • Exactly. There was also a puzzle table once. The higher boss said he loved to see people building teamwork and closer relationships and liked the puzzle. I luckily knew the whole time that even though he said this he fucking hated the puzzle. I winced everytime he'd catch someone working on it. Some people are just oblivious AF. "He said he likes the puzzle!" Yeah he said that, but he absolutely does not and you're probably on the shit list now

  • Sure. But it's my understanding also that a picture in a public place of me would be fair game. But if someone were to monetize it or use it to promote a product I thought this needs permission. Otherwise why do I usually sign a release when the photo of me is going to be used for advertisements by my workplace for example. The people that asked this of me were professional photographers as well and we were in a public space. I guess I just wonder what release forms and things are for

  • Not necessarily about this bill in particular but I hate the bill bundling bullshit in general. Sometimes the bill appears to be about something I care about but in the bill is a ton of irrelevant stuff that sometimes I absolutely hate. I wish this wasn't able to work like this it's deceptive on purpose

  • I knew a kid like that. His parents would say how he's super into WW2 history. Meanwhile he only had an absolute shit ton of Nazi memorabilia only read books about Nazis and dressed in a leather jacket that looks like the Nazi one ... I'm pretty sure he's a Nazi... Idk why else it would be his absolute only interest area and nothing else
