Hmmm. If they invalidate someone's driver's license, for reasons that have nothing to do with their driving, I don't think all the illegal immigrants are going to park their cars and stop driving. When there's an accident, though, they'll be much more likely to flee the scene.

Maybe some people can read a book and listen to music at the same time, but I'm not smart enough. The music bleeds into the book, and it becomes Treasure of the Sierra Madre with Pink Floyd, which is completely different from Treasure of the Sierra Madre, if you catch what I drop.

My guesstimate is that Reddit — with BotDefense up and running — was at least 20% bots posting articles and then bots having conversations about those bot-posted articles. Without BotDefense? Yikes.

Biden is pretty unambiguously awful, and only looks good against any Republican. AOC is doing the right thing here, but long-term we have got to get rid of these cobwebheaded oldsters and move on to the next generation, or the generation after.

Ah, you're probably right. I mostly hate Edge because I never chose it, downloaded it, or installed it, and of course it can't be deleted. It triggers all my "intruder alerts".

I have used it some at work, and hate it, but that's mostly because work wouldn't let me install adblockers.

My settings are, as OP states, drop-down defaults to “Select Language” with “Undetermined” and “English”. And still I get posts in languages I don't know — not lots, but obviously they're useless to me, and I'd prefer blocking such posts.

Lots of bot posts, and under them, lots of lively conversations between the bots.

In no sense is Edge is a good browser. It is built for ads and tracking, and makes surfing the web inherently unpleasant.

I would updoot that line of thinking, and award you Lemmy Gold.

This is good to know and could be something I'd use a lot, but it isn't working. Every Reddit address I try it on, the reply is "Nothing here. Head back home?"

Does the page need to be pre-prepared, like a web.archive.org address?
