What a kick in the victims' teeth. Commuting this guy's sentence is Trump-level corrupt, one of the more despicable things Biden has done.

Right on, dude. It would be refreshing to see right-wing arguments advocating a serious fact-based (instead of hate-based and/or lie-based) position on any issue. I'd still disagree, but I'd welcome that disagreement.

Until that glorious future when "the right will reconnect with reality, integrity and simple decency," I am delighted that they're underrepresented on Lemmy.

When we were uninsured more than twenty years ago, my wife went to an emergency room with horrendous internal pain, waited three hours to see a doctor who prescribed extra-strength Pepto-Bismol and missed what we later learned was the obvious diagnosis of gallstones. The bill was a bit more than three grand.

"Enhanced interrogation" is when I went over and out, too, and NPR has only gotten worse. I never listen any more, but occasionally read their news coverage online. It's adequate, by the current awful standards of mainstream journalism. No worse than my local paper, but also no better.

Might be the best news coverage on the radio, though, and I'd oppose bludgeoning the NPR budget, same as I'll oppose everything Trump and his maniacs do.

Exactly. So the issue of genocide in Gaza is effectively moot in the 2024 election. Both sides are pro-genocide, so decide your vote on other issues. Trump, of course, is better on exactly none of the issues.
