  • Fuck cars and all that, but this ain't the place or time chief. Pedestrians ignored him too. This is more about how people are wrapped in their own little world regardless of transportation, and how interacting with people can be seen as a risk.

  • You can read the internal memo here. They increased their workforce by 400% in 3 years so it was bound to happen.

The severance package is 5 months of pay plus a week for every year they worked there, and a slew of other things to help the transition to a new job.

  • Being able to manipulate scores before the game starts is related to accessibility, and is always an optional feature. It helps balance the game or session for those who need it, or might spice up a game for those who enjoy it.

Aside from Mario multiplayer games (like Mario Party) and just sports games in general I don't know of any games that utilise this.

There are games that give you something OP it you fail a lot though. A lot of Nintendo games work like this when they notice you failing a lot and ask if you need a hand. There was another game I can't remember that makes you start with a power up if you die too many times, but I'll have to edit this post when I find it.

Edit: it is Super Mario 3D World / Land for WiiU / 3DS. If you fail a lot in succession the game throws you a golden leaf that makes you invincible when picked up. It's entirely optional otherwise.

  • You have access to a bunch of games accessible through the Netflix app or directly through your app store. Most of the games are available elsewhere and pretty solid like Moonlighter, Terra Nil, Oxenfree, Spiritfarer, Storyteller, Into the Breach. But they are (were?) ad-free full versions of the paid counterparts

  • Yeah it's v.redd.it links that won't play in-app. If you view it externally it should work.

This has been raised as an issue and hopefully will be picked up.

Or have you found something else? Some more details would be nice

  • YouTube summarizer of the accessibility settings:

    1. The game was designed to be accessible for all players.
    2. The game has no quick time events or color-based feedback.
    3. The game has big text by default.
    4. Play testing was done to ensure accessibility, with small invisible assists added for those who struggle with platforming.
    5. Options were added for low vision players and players who want to adjust the difficulty.
    6. A high contrast mode was added for players with low vision.
    7. A guided mode was added to help players who get lost in the game.
    8. Memory shards were added for players to remember important locations.

Still a Ubi game so I'm skipping it, but the accessibility stuff is cool.
