  • What kind of view are you using? I can see full YouTube links under the post thumbnail warning me where it's gonna take me.

You can also silence the media volume on your phone if you're in bed and not wanting to break the silence. I don't think special markdown for a single domain is worth chasing, but I might be missing something.

  • Perhaps generic is the wrong term. It's the contrast in styles that caught me off-guard and it looks like a very different level of quality.

Perhaps it's just not my game and I can't appreciate the art for what it is.

  • I wholeheartedly agree. When you have an upvote/downvote structure, there is an incentive to not go against the grain and just post stuff that's considered "acceptable" in the local community.

Not everyone treats the votes the same way as well. Some people downvote because they don't agree with the content, the poster, just because they sound disagreeable or simply because the post is too much to read. You can apply the same myriad of methods to upvotes. Not one motivator is the same.

If we'd ditch showing the numbers and just have them work under the hood, discussions might start looking a lot more genuine.

  • If you want to start talking to lawmakers about wanting to watch porn without having to show ID, you would be dismissed if you're going to cite free speech being the right it is infringing upon. Privacy would be a better starting point, for example.

  • It will also be available as an open-source reference project, so developers can easily implement the same capabilities in their own applications.

Not truly open source but at least you can build your own and control what happens with all the data, if I understand this correctly?

  • But if you’re a very technically challenged person I am sure it is possible.

Isn't that Apple's demographic? People get an iPhone or Mac because it just works and they don't have to worry about complexity and choice. Freedom can be paralyzing to people.

  • I agree that the mechanics and features are a mixed bag, but the core experience of exploration and freedom is what made Zelda, Zelda.

BotW also had like 12 unique enemies, excluding bosses and variations. It wasn't a lot but 5-6 really doesn't do it justice.
