They suck at campaigning, but they aren't the worst at governing. An informed voter doesn't require razzle dazzle, but alas we are in short supply of informed voters. I don't see that turning around anytime soon, so buckle up buttercup!

Three big things:

1. Compartmentalization of media (echo chambers)
2. Tribalism (thanks Russia!)
3. Macho culture (treating politics like a college football game except being LESS informed)

We'll never recover from this. This is the United States of Ignorance now. I'm deeply sorry to those who did their part and will be victims in the future, but it HAS to get worse before it can get better. We need a great reset in some form. Revolution, world war, alien invasion...

What is left to do? The majority of the American electorate is hopelessly uninformed, selfish, or lazy. The slugs have voted for salt!

As long as we never stop, I think this might work!

The cure is an informed and active electorate, and we're headed in the wrong direction. (Except that WW3, now more likely, could bolster education in the following decades.)

You're right. Lot of people sat out because of inflation, which was driven by corporate greed, which of course a Republican is not going to address. The electorate needs a fucking education. Prices have stopped climbing aggressively. They're not going to go back down. Wage growth is the next step, which is another thing a Republican will not address. Americans cutting off their nose to spite their face.

One of my family members actually said that they wouldn't vote for P25. I told them it was a platform, not an item on a ballot... confused looks.

Compared to 4 years ago, his popular vote hasn't changed much, but over 10m blue voters didn't come back. That made all the difference. Joe Biden I did that sticker

Putting aside all other anxiety, I'm fascinated to see if Republicans will finally flee his sinking ship as he fades to history. A lot of them only support him for survival... They're all spineless in the end.

I'm expecting at least some rioting if Trump loses. Just stocked up on booze and popcorn so I can ride this week out.
