Just a quick correction: Series S is current-gen. You might be thinking of the One S, which is understandable because Microsoft has a monkey coming up with their product names.

I find it to be much more user-friendly than EmuDeck. I also like that it updates with all of the other system software in Desktop mode since it's a Flatpak

I’ve seen behind the scenes of other Lemmy servers, and unfortunately the base product is really flakey. I don’t envy anyone trying to maintain a server…

It should arrive later this week, so I’ll add an update comment. As for the video game, there is a good amount of strategy if you want to keep getting more tiles and completing the “quests.”

Tiers are a real PITA across many unions. I'm in NYSUT (New York State United Teachers), and we have tiered retirements benefits based on when you started your service. There's a big push now to fix the youngest tier, who currently has to pay much more into retirement, work for more years, and receive fewer benefits when they do retire.

It’s not a final ruling, but rather a stay to allow the current system to remain in place until it properly comes before the court.

For 52 card, I’m a sucker for trick-taking. So games like Hearts and Spades. One of my friends has been importing a ton of small box games from Japan and Korea, and there are some good card games in the batch like Hachi Train and Nana (aka Trio).

That’s basically how I feel. People work hard to make progress like this. Is it depressing that we even need to fight for basic nutrition for children? Absolutely! But if we always react to that progress with cynicism and negativity, it might lead folks to work a little less hard next time.

I’m just hoping that we can develop new patterns of dialogue here. On articles like these, I’m already seeing the same types of comments that we’d get over on Reddit, and I bet half of those were bots.

A lot of cynicism in these comments. This is a good thing! Hopefully we continue to see this expand to more states and school districts.

Check out Clone Hero! I’m away from my computer, but there are archives that let you import all of the Rock Band and Guitar Hero songs. You can use/mod old controllers or even 3D print your own.

I was very pleased with the world-building and lore in Horizon: ZD! The cultures and different factions felt genuinely unique and novel.

And it’s also a sort of punch-up. The ensigns are doing all the hard work, but the officers get all the credit.

Easy pathway for some Cat6!

I play in a pretty straightforward 5e campaign, and my DM keeps it simple. If we roll a Nat 1, he gives us an inspiration token that we can spend to re-roll any d20 check. You can’t hoard them, though.

We’ve always managed to eke out of combat, and he rewards us for getting creative with our problem-solving. It’s one of the reasons I’m playing as a spell caster this time around.
