  • I'm too attached to mine already but maybe in the next life

  • There's no shame it being in the et al. Hell, most authors are 'et al.'!

  • Anyone has a link to the original paper?

  • Thanks! Any clue on how I can access it from Kbin? We're supposed to be federated but I can't find that community using the search option for federated communities

  • Shouldn't it be the other way around? Emo is just city country

  • Ok yes but where's our Bob's burgers community then?

  • Oh I didn't know! I'll start right now

  • Came here to support plenny shakes as well. And their bars are amazing too

  • I love it. Thanks for sharing

  • Sure there's people that just buy what's cheaper. But there's also people who consciously make the choice of eating meat having the possibility of not doing so. It makes sense to target that part of the population.

Now, if subsidies to the meat and dairy industry was redericted to plant-based farming, then the only reason left to consume animals would be people's choice of personal pleasure over ethical and environmental factors

  • Still, I think you're misundernderstaing what anarchy is. It is not the absence of people in positions of governance. It is the rejection of unwarranted/unjustified power positions. In that sense, if the community feels that a mod is something they want to, as other people have commented, keep the place clean, and as long as the mod can justify their work and what they do to the community, that is perfectly compatible with anarchism

  • I use MX, formerly know as Mepis. Super stable and kept up to date. It used to be Debian based and they still use some Debian repos but it's largely independent now

  • I get most of my recommendations via Diaspora and Mastodon (2 social networks that are part of the fediverse). They allow you to follow hashtags, so I just follow the hashtags of the music I'm interested and see people's posts that are tagged with them

  • Thanks! I thought I had done that by marking the website as 'trusted' but the website kept telling me I needed to enable JS for it to work. I just need to get familiar with the configuration. I saw there's a forum for the extension, so I'll have a look there for documentation

  • What do you mean? A server? Is the extension not meant to be used for personal computers?

  • It actually made the website I use for work stop working. I need to learn how to configure it properly. I guess I'll be reading a manual or wiki

  • Just installed the Noscript extension to Firefox. Thanks 👍
