  • That's not his point, his point is you have to allow some bullshit to prevent violence against innocent people like judge's daughters. This "above all reproach" strategy by the judges and prosecutors working against trump means that when he's finally dealt a verdict there's nothing anyone can say about the people involved and the proceedings. They literally went soft as fuck on him and he still got convicted, ideally.

I'm not sure I personally believe that is the best strategy because it makes the system look weak to the people it's supposed to be trying and makes maga base look like it has Mafia like power. That's fucking silly to give them that de facto legitimatcy imo but I can see where they are coming from.

I think that nutting up and just throwing him in jail for contempt until his trials are over would be the better course. Let them maggots whine and piss and moan and throw them in jail when they protest too hard and try to bust him out of jail.

There is an entire power dynamic at play here between the "high road" people who won't "stoop to that level" getting continually fucked by the ones who break the rules and never go to jail over it. They have an entire playbook of shit Dems won't do because they know their base will still vote for them even if they are publicly shit heads, hell that's even more of a reason to vote for them to the most far right extremists.

Why don't Dems pack the courts? Why don't Dems throw him in jail for contempt? Why don't Dems move quicker in the literal treason case over selling state secrets? They need to play hardball and they won't do it. They won't get dirty and fight back.

  • Hey just wanted to remind you about that mayonnaise video when you read this. Give in to the morbid curiosity. The call of the void burns for you concede and watch the video in full. See how gross it really is for yourself.

  • This second point is going to be impossible to avoid when everyone knows ubi is a thing.

In my mind I see a huge displacement coming for a large number of workers who get ousted by AI. There will still be jobs, but far fewer in each discipline. Think office workers and coders etc. Once ai matures and integrates, we are going to have millions of people without jobs as companies cut 80 to 90% in each department. UBI will be necessary and everyone who sells shit will know that it exists and we are back to square one because they increase prices. It seems hard to avoid.

To be clear, I'm all for UBI. It seems like its pretty much unavoidable as productivity per worker continues to sky rocket and wages remain the same.

  • We are talking about whether it's possible to run a regular fridge on a 12v car battery. Not if it's efficient lol. You have to convert DC to AC because that's part of the problem, so yeah I made that jump all on my own lmao

You're a troll, but there's no rustled jimmies here.... You're too obvious.

  • You should Google what a step up and step down transformer do. It's very simple and easy to prove you're a dipshit once you understand you're arguing from bad faith trying to compare a simple bit of circuitry design to hydro power.

  • No it doesn't. Watts do give a shit what percentage is voltage vs amps. You have to convert between AC and DC as appropriate as well as ensuring the voltage of a 12v battery is stepped if needed, but the watts are the same in any case. (Not figuring for system losses)

  • For a mathless explanation, I believe it's because in the quantum world all the atoms that interact are part of the same system. That includes the ones that make up the instruments and the scientists themselves. If you put the photons in an experimental apparatus the results can change because the system is different. Meaning you can influence the waveform collapse simply by experimenting to try and understand it.

I hope that's right I watch a ton of physics YouTube, so I hope I'm absorbing some of this stuff.

For more crazy shit, see how photons traveling across the universe cause the electron they originate from at the start and the electron they terminate at the end to agree to exchange that energy across space and time. It's mind bending. From the photon perspective (at the speed of light) a journey across the cosmos is instantaneous. No time passes for the photon from its frame of reference.
