  • Right, you're disputing it with your own personal experience. I can't argue with that so I concede the point, no one has ever had it as bad as you. 30 years ago everyone could afford to heat their homes and go to the dentist and there were no migrants. This era is the dark recessed pit of humanity, woe to us who shall only ever see the shadow cast by the peaceful, prosperous generations who came before us!

  • They fact that there's always been a lot of negative news and world ending crisises throughout history. Everyone always feels were in the end times but we keep making it through. Not only that, we consistently get through it and make things better in the process.

There are broken parts to the world but we are objectively better off now than at any other time in history.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by bad news, it's time to adjust your news intake.

  • Trying to think of a situation that was made better by adapting the constitution to give one ethnicity more say in the running of a country.

There is so much racism and bigotry in the country that has to be addressed but I don't see how this makes things better.

  • Ottawans are used to protests. It's a capital city, there's serveral protests going in any given day.

What they weren't used to was the neverending train horns, the constant street blocking, the assaults, the destruction of property, and the constant threats. They lasted way longer than I would have.

Fuck the convoy and fuck the people like Poilievre who supported them.

  • They absolutely would be profitable, it's just that those costs would then be passed on to the consumer. People would see energy costs skyrocket to make up the difference.

The oil companies still have a product most of the world needs and people will (and have) killed to get it. We'd rebel against a government they tried

In order to get passed oil we need to move to alternatives like EVs.

  • Maybe I don't want a revolution. Maybe I just want a simple program that I can get news and follow a few people whos opinions I want to read.

But Naw I'm sure you're right and everyone else just wants the wrong thing.

  • A bad riddle being something stupid or overly simplistic but with a different answer or overwrought.

The creature doesn't know it wants to be praised for the riddles it makes. It believes it is very clever and isn't. Even if they guess the right answer it would only get angry and deny they got it.

But I also don't want the players to waste too much time thinking of riddle answers that will never go anywhere. It's supposed to be funny
