I still have a Reddit account but I've not logged in since the API business. I really don't miss it.

Most birds are extremely light and efficient. Their bones have evolved to be light weight to help with this. Some species even fly in a V formation to conserve energy.

Evolution doesn't mean get better or smarter. It just means the species can survive and keep reproducing. Emperor Penguins in Antarctica for example, where they nest in a place where there are no predators. It seems insane the hardship and their silly walk which takes forever. But it works.

I once cycled to a pub in the rain to meet friends. The pub had no where to lock a bike, apart from one of these roofed sign things. It was tricky but I managed to lock it to it. It was great, kept the rain off my bike.

My mum's next door neighbour is a 70 something man. His wife was 50 something. They had talked about how he would be the first to go and planned accordingly. She then died suddenly. Life takes unexpected turns.

That's what I thought too. It's very sad.

Reminds me of that case in the UK where a dad suffered a heart attack and his 2 year old child died from dehydration. As a dad that one made a tear come to my eye.

Let us not forget about the murkin which exists for this reason.

A movie without a good guy to come to the rescue.

He really is like a bad guy in a comic book movie. Freeing criminals, recruiting corrupt police, spreading fear and hatred. The beginning of a movie where the place is in criminal chaos.

Wasn't he pushing the angle that Twitter falsely stated the user base because of the high numbers of bots and therefore falsely stated the business value? I think he was trying to push the sale value down. I could easily be wrong, I didnt follow it closely.

I buy used cars. I had an X-Trial I bought 8 years ago for £2000. It lasted 7 years. I did basic maintenance myself like brakes, oil, etc. on the end the flywheel needed replacing. To the scrap it went. Bit 2k for 7 years!

I would guess they used wood pegs either end to make it durable. Wood doesn't preserve as well and stone.

There's also no sense of scale. To me it looks like a roller skate. Shaped like a sandal, wider wheel base at the front for stability and it could have have leather or twine round the back of the heal. I could be totally wrong but that was my thinking when looking at it.

Not as severe as this, but I always found it uncomfortable that the patients in medical have no privacy what so ever.

I was so excited when this game was released as I was a massive fan of Total Annihilation.

If I remember correctly she said it had never happened before. It would be interesting to know whether it has happened again after and whether she has been driving a car since.

I know a couple of people who said they didn't know what to vote for so voted for the default, which they thought was to leave.

Some other old person said he doesn't like immigrants (or specifically people of a certain skin colour) and wants back gold top milk (which apparently the EU took away...).

Somebody else saying they don't want Brussels telling us what to do and we need our fishing rights back. Also immigration.

My future, my son's future, all now shaped in a more restrictive way because of people's views like this.

Ironically for the old racist man we now have less white Europeans immigrants as before and more from Africa and India regions, at least in the area I live. I love it how it's backfired on him.
