  • They could write a 300 page book of these short stories and it would sell like hit cakes if brought to a publisher with a brain. This stuff is popular on reddit because it is popular content. Content creators just have not been making money on their work.

  • I have a real knack for finding amazing games that will die soon or just died. I'll add this to the pile of hellgate London, runescape chronicles, and that 3v3 moba that you could play on any web browser.

    Thanks for the link though!

  • Welp, I tried to find the video for like an hour with no luck. But I think it was made by the Rocket Jump guys at some point. It was a live action video of a video game like fps where there are two teams. One person spawns on each team and goes on to the map, trade gun fire until one dies then time resets and another person spawns on each side, BUT the other player still does what they did last round, runs out and trades gun fire. But the newly spawned guy kills the enemy that shot tge first spawn guy before that happens. Breaking the first spawn guy out of his preset loop, and they are now coordinating.

Very cool concept. If anyone knows the video please help me find it. Told a friend about it yesterday. Must have been filmed at least 8 years ago now.

  • I read most of the manga under a similar premise of "taking the challenge" and it is sad how little it effected me. The plot is just so incredibly shoe horned together. Just the baseline of tge show being "he used his healing to travel back in time" like what? The main character sucks and I don't think you are supposed to sympathize with him, which was fine enough. But every choice in the narrative is just so laughable. It's mostly edginess for the sake of edginess in my opinion.

  • Amazing how we are the generation that needs to do everything. We are already the last generation with no ability to kick the can on so many issues that have piled up.

It is so annoying that even the issues other generations claim to have solved are still front and center today because nothing was solved. Hell, we can't even get accurate teaching into schools. I was floored to hear a teacher giving a lecture on Christopher Columbus discovering America recently. Like, no, we know that isn't true and we know the reason we learned it was to stop racial pregidious against Italians. Why can't we teach that to kids instead of telling lies and leaving another generation to find out the truth on their own?

    People are stupid.

  • The source for most of these are confounding statistics. My favorite being that a deck of cards can shuffle into such a vast number of options, more than grains of sand on earth.

Another good one I like is that there are about ten times more bacteria cells in your body than human cells. But they are so much smaller they are only about 5 pounds of your total mass.

Also one most people get wrong and makes me sad. The seasons on Earth are not caused by the rotation of the earth around the sun, nor it's elliptical orbit. They are caused by the tilt of the earth's axis and the time of year the Earth is closest to the Sun it is actually winter in the northern hemisphere.

  • I recently did this in the shower. I found there were spots I was not cleaning as throughly as I should and hadn't noticed as I was always thinking about whatever shower thought. But without eye sight I had to relearn to shower a little and it allowed me to pay more attention to what I'm actually doing.

My whole life I have experimented with what losing a sense would be like and which I would rather have lost should that occur. Mostly between sight and hearing, which I recently found out that noise canceling headphones are tge greatest thing in the world. So being overly stimulated is something I never noticed, yet experienced often.

I also walk around my house sometimes, not near the stairs, with my eyes closed just to see how well my mind can keep me oriented. It usually doesn't last very long.
