  • That is definitely neglect.

I used to teach disabled adults and we saw a lot of this sort of thing, the parents considered their disabled adult children like toddlers, we were residential so we got them in house and realised that this 23 year old had never even poured himself a glass of water, so we'd spend all first term teaching them to cook their own food, wash their own clothes, clean their own environment, do their own shopping, just all the things parents hadn't.

Then they'd go home and the parents would do everything for them again because they loved it. No regard to this adult man feeling crappy cause his mom wouldn't let him out of her sight.

One thing I always think about, which did happen sometimes, were those 'kids' who had come to us after their parents died. You have a 40 or 50 year old woman who's never been away from her mother for one minute suddenly thrust alone into the world with zero skills. It's cruel to do that to someone.

And of course, in these groups, physical and sexual assault did happen because they were impaired in some way in understanding and nobody had tried to teach them appropriate behaviour, so what chance do they have! It need education and management to keep everyone safe.

  • It's not a legal contract. A business has no obligation to allow you on the premises so a code of conduct is expected, there's an unwritten one for every business you go into. Schools just take time to explain theirs.

  • The behaviour standards in school are much lower than in real life. In school telling your teacher to fuck off might get a demerit, or a warning, maybe isolation or in repeated circumstances suspension.

Telling your boss at McDonalds to fuck off will mean you don't work there any more.

  • I have explained what the word means very clearly. and nobody is convicted of Paedophilia, it's not against the law to have an attraction in your head, it's the acts that are against the law.

The rest of your comment just seems to be justifying paedophilia.

  • I'm questioning the term 'average'. There's a club in Newcastle that does a couple of free gigs a week, I'd suggest that's not an isolated case. Of course there's some big tours with £500 tickets but aren't they still pretty rare?

  • I feel like people are just driving around with their full beams lately not knowing that's an issue. It feels like every 5th car is blinding me now. I've had to pull over at times because I have stars in my eyes.

  • My dad can't do this. I've tried to teach him but it's like, a piece of equipment breaks and I'm like "What have you tried so far?" the answer is always nothing because he doesn't know cars/computers/watches/lights, etc etc.

I don't know half of those things either but I'll go over and press all the buttons, if that doesn't work I google it. I've showed him this so many times but it's like it doesn't go in and he's like "But you're good with these things!" Nope, I'm just hitting it until it works.

  • Everything doesn't exist. There are 97 episodes currently missing. I started watching from the first ep a while back, there was a fair few more missing at the time, but I pretty soon got lost with big chunks missing.

You can use iplayer through a VPN if that's useful to you.

  • The pre-pubescent bit is something that comes from Paedophiles trying to defend themselves. The word means attracted to children, but some people claim because the root is greek and ancient greece you could work from puberty then the word children only referred to those before puberty. It's wrong, there's plenty of examples of 16 year olds being referred to as children in texts.

Even if it was true, we're not in ancient greece, people are considered children up to 18 or even 21 today.

  • Right wing in my country is also non religious, religion in politics is really frowned upon, to the point that one of our former PMs 'came out' as a Catholic after he left. Everyone is pretty pro LGB... less so on the T though, our conservatives are very anti-trans, our left party less so. I think our only anti abortionists are on the right? It's a rare viewpoint to say out loud though.
