Have you not been following this? They've announced their intentions to eliminate gaza followed by cutting off food and water to the area and refusing to let people leave. They've then started systematic bombing from north to south. The very north is flattened already. All residents dead if they didn't move south.
They are trying to eliminate Gaza. They have openly said that. They are purposely trying to kill every single civilian.
Yes the war is being fought from a populated area because Israel have created a tiny ghetto where everyone is living toe to tail. There is no nice rural area they can go to here, they've been kettled in.
You have a complete misunderstanding on what constitutes a war crime and a misunderstanding of the war currently ongoing. This is an occupied nation trying to fight back against generations of war crimes.
You understand how many civilians Israel has massacred this week?
Both sides have committed war crimes but Israels are more numerous even if we talk about the current conflict and ignore the past decades of torture, cruelty and invasions.
Having said that, there's been an acceptance of war crimes recently since America committed a lot.
You've had some lovely advise already which I agree with. Treat the dog kindly, train them with positive reinforcement and love.
But something I think so many new dog owners neglect is to research the breed. Dogs were selectively bred and some traits like energy level, play style, etc are baked in. For example cocker spaniels are retrievers, they were bred to retrieve game, so they want to have something in their mouth, and a lot of new owners will take away everything they try to take (shoes, socks, human toys) and not give them anything they CAN hold (dog toys) so they start aggressively guarding their prizes from owners and suddenly you have a dangerous dog.
If you understand the breed then you'll know what the dogs instincts are telling them and it gives you a head start on making them happy.
The second thing is, a tired dog is a good dog. If you're all having a bad day and the dog isn't listening, then a good long walk followed by a nice sleep will normally sort it out.
They claim to want sanctuaries, but don't seem to actually know what a sanctuary means. They're against captive breeding, which is the whole conservation bit that they claim to be for. They also want these to be closed, which means no money? It's just a really weird view from someone who has no understanding of conservation or reality.
They typically lay around because they are depressed or tired.
That's quite an uneducated viewpoint. Most animals (including us) move a very small part of the day. Finding food, finding mates, etc. Lions will sleep or rest for 21 hours a day. Their active hours tend to be dawn and dusk.
Beyond that, Nobody is physically poking any animals, that's not how zoos work. As someone who worked at a zoo bad behaviour is rare, it happens, but it's dealt with.
I'm not sure what you and the author want here? Do you want them to neglect the animals they hold to give more to in situ conservation? Do you want them to have less animals? Less animals means less money so even less being sent. No animals means no money.
It's also ignoring the fact that in situ conservation isn't the goal here. Zoos themselves are ex-situ conservation. They have literally bought animals back from extinction, or protected threatened species.
I think halloween for me is more sweet treats than savoury, how about cooking up an afternoon tea? You could cut sandwiches into ghosts and pumpkins with some cookie cutters. Make some cute muffins, cakes, etc. Here's a few I've seen.
There's no such thing as too much pizza but if you're doing takeaway every day then it's expensive and probably has a lot of bad stuff. Why not learn to cook your own? That way it's cheaper and you can make it how you want.
Over Covid I missed neopolitan pizza and nowhere near me delivered so I learned to make my own, I've now got quite good at making a 500-600 calorie pizza whenever I fancy from either homemade or pre bought frozen dough.
It's a different situation but I don't think 'not as bad' really works here. The average house during the 30's was only twice the average wage, you could absolutely support a family on a single income. Other things were bad, like the unemployment rate, but it was temporary.
The issue in this post is that what we're dealing with is 'life' being unattainable for the majority of people. For people in their 20's now it's always been that way. They can't move out, they can't get an education, they can't get a career going, it's grim.
As someone that's been around for some of history it's bad now. Just the cost of living stuff is dark. Grown adults are sharing bedrooms because they can't afford to rent a room by themselves on a full time wage. People have raised entire families on a single factory workers wage for hundreds of years before now, now two people with decent jobs can't afford one kid. It's dark.
Herbivores taking more time to digest greenery is really not related to eating the poo of another animal due to nutritional deficiency. It's a silly comparison.
Good dog ownership, you saw what he needed and sorted it. You're starting strong.
