  • If you use a browser, you know that the formatting works as intended, and you don't have anything thing installed on your phone.

If you use an app, you may have a layout you prefer, and you may have a new feature or two that you like.

  • Maybe Tomorrow by Abby Simons:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WkKi4CbWN0

This is from an old Youtube channel, Abby would write, record, edit, and post a new song every week for a year... almost.
When the song pops into my head from time to time, I miss the way that youtube felt.

  • The NDP is very-much a pro- worker party. When the liberals forced the workers into arbitration instead of allowing them to strike, they cut at one of the core issues for the NDP. The liberals committed their act against the railworkers in public, so the response being in public makes sense.

It would be the same as an environmental party publicly cutting ties with a "pro business" party for allowing the creation of new farm land by reducing the size of a national park.

  • Sizes are very different depending on where you live, so I'm not sure what size you actually are. I have underwear from Asia that's XXL, and underwear from North America that's medium.

    Have you tried pocketed underwear?
It'll stop your balls from flopping around without squishing your dick because the fabric is too tight. If you follow the "Keep it slick (hairless) if you want it licked" way of thinking for your balls, it'll also prevent "batwing" by keeping them from touching your thighs.

All of the underwear I wear now are pocketed, some of them are codpiece-styled, which can be fun

  • The reason why some people think they did it was because it was their job to take the mail to the mail room. But they were also the person who needed to go to the mail room to get our mail every day, which they did, every day. If they were already taking the elevator down to the mail room to get the mail, why not take the outgoing mail?!?
We also found out that they were just marking tasks as complete about 20% of the time, so we had to double-check every task assigned to them for the previous 6 months.

I earned my living with a hammer or a forklift for most of my life, and I never thought I would like the office gossip. But, It's kinda great.
It's generally a different level than it was with the construction guys.
"Joanne's boyfriend might be emotionally abusive, and she won't break up with him. Be kind to her."
    vs
"John got drunk last night after losing custody, and put his new girlfriend into a coma. We'll need you to help with the gable overhangs."

  • From my current workplace:
Someone was putting mail in a cabinet under their desk instead of the outbox, we're talking hundreds of letters/cheques/invoices and some life-changing documents from a few months.
The mail outbox was on their desk, and easier to reach than the cabinet.

    From previous workplaces:

    • Breaking down a door and raping someone that had barricaded themselves behind said door.
    • Sexual interference.
    • not having a licence, and getting a DUI with a work truck that they stole.

And outrageous in a different way:
for only beating last year's sales by 3% instead of by 4%.

  • Not sure why you're being down voted, it's a fair question, and I don't have a specific study to link to.

I just have anecdotes from working with criminals, and game theory.

If something will add X% to your time in prison, but has a Y% chance of preventing you from being convicted in the first place, there are numbers where it makes sense to risk it.
Granted, it's much more likely in a single-victim sex-crime scenario than a fraud case that leaves behind kilometer-long paper trails

  • Firstly, fuck this person and everyone else involved.

Secondly, she was a supportive witness that likely helped to get other convictions. She might be the reason that any money is recovered.

Thirdly, if the sentence for a crime gets too high, murdering the people who can rat you out becomes the best strategy. Dead people don't take the stand. It's why certain awful crimes, like assaulting children, seem to have too light of a sentence.

  • By 2050, we could change our economy to lean more heavily on our rare-earth and uranium resources, maybe even our solar and wind. We could step into the 21st century, even if it'll be nearly half-over.

Sask has the ability to produce a lot of power from basically everything except for hydro. We could move from coal and oil if we decide to.

  • If you read the description, you can assume that the video is garbage.

Meanwhile, Canada’s Premier has displayed casual cruelty in politics, and the National Broadcast Corporation (NBC) United has been a significant embarrassment in political history.

Provinces in Canada have premiers, the Country has a Prime Minister.
    Also, what casual cruelty specifically?

NBC is from the USA, I assume they mean the CBC? But "CBC united" isn't a thing, so maybe they mean the political party "BC United"?

  • The Cask of Amontillado.

I remember reading it, and seeing it as a metaphor for killing off an aspect of yourself, like being a drunk, no matter how long or hard the process is, and hoping that it will never come back to haunt you.

The names are quite similar and I was trying to sober up at the time; I wasn't going to admit to the grade 9 class the latter.

Montresor = Mon trésor is "my treasure"
Fortunato = the root word is "fortune"

  • Very old/rare, and bonkers powerful.

The whole game is about what you do with mana (currency).
If all we are looking at is the mana, this lets you pay for other cards on your first turn that you normally wouldn't be able to play until the 4th turn of the game. That's a huge advantage.
