  • And Romans can't be homophobic because they pretty much didn't hold the concept. Effing men and women equally was normal. Getting effed however as a man was seen as being submissive. If anything, this is more in the direction of ancient era toxic masculinity, heh.

  • My condolences. Seems to be less so night shifts and more so Walmart itself then. I know people who aren't of the night-time is wake-time type are immensely drained by night shifts...never imagined it could be this bad.

  • He built it out of junk. Most of internal components were prolly cherry picked and then maaaybe fixed up a bit. Sheesh. Like, kiddo may have been good at soldering, so he fixed a few electronic parts.

  • Please, please do act on google too. Didn't knew about YT thing, but god I loved Spartan Edge. It was soo...resource unintensive. It...simply did it job, was quick, low resource, looked good... :( I switched to it from chrome and then it became chrome.

  • It seems is key here. Lemmy is so left leaning that any case of such support is straight up glaring. Same even with more neutral things like patriotism - each time it's out there, because it's so different from the rest.

    And then there's few instances which flip it on the head from what I know...

  • I honestly don't care at this point. New Ariel sucks not because they switched her to black, but because it just sucks as a whole. The only thing that's actually kinda pissing me off is...

    ...could we stop swapping gingers with blacks? Please? Pretty please? Both are minority, ffs. But one is even kinda rarer than the other. Go on, switch the blondie, but leave the ginger as ginger ;-;

  • Also a lifestyle that some women assume after finding a man. Then, it works best - most of the case both parties happy, but also most of the time it's not really viable economically...unles the dude plays 1950 traditional husband, as in works his ass off

  • Most distributions have detailed instructions on their sites, like Linux Mint. But overall, it amounts to:

    1. Choose disteibution
    2. Download it's installation image ( I recommend LiveUSB version - it will allow you to check if you like it first and most distributions have them )
    3. Prepare bootable usb stick ( I recommend Rufus for that )
    4. When done, reboot your computer choosing usb drive as boot
    5. If LiveUSB version, check out whether you like what you see and if everything works. If you like it, there should be install app on desktop
    6. Proceed with install process. For most linuxes, it's 1:1 windows installation process, minus ads and forcing you into online stuff.
    7. Enjoy linux ^^

    Edit: Also, you can simply download distributions en masse and boot them up in VirtualBox or something to check them out without making USB each time. Allows bypassing requirement of LiveUSB too - you can just install it in its box. However not all distributions like being virtual boxxed
