What nuance. Thanks to the time I can spend writing a message, I can commit to adding the details in readable format, and this data stays for reference. Whether it's instruction, some info or a question.
During call, I am scrambling to answer ASAP - like a lot of folk I know, and seemingly a lot of commenters here - so you get partial, jumbled up answer.
Calls are okay when asking about preference - something you can answer from the get go - if you want some information, use message.
I love how you all are so flabbergasted by how simply okay the game was that each and every time someone asks how it is, everyone fumbles for words and cannot express it in any other way than solid, stable mediocre experience. Like lol. So I guess it's good game, just not a good Dragon Age xD
Polish ID's are slready digital. The question is whether you want to have it in-app or not. Also the gov bent over backwards so we can essentially do 80% of stuff online - from taxes to forms, most things can easily get done online. And why gov likes it? It reduces amount of workers and headline, because a lot can be automated, and also ensures more people will bother with shit because it's easier.
Well, to keep profile on Bluesky they essentially keept the same social media presence guy and just tell him to switch. To add to it Mastodon, they suddenly need to extend infrastructure to add a server, need to have someone manage that server and on top of that make that social media presence guy also take care of posting there. If they even have that guy and it's not simply something Monica from HR is doing.
And all that for what, maybe 500k people using it? Accounting for people not hearing about it, not being in EU, not caring about it etc. etc.
For comparision, Bluesky has 3 times Mastodon's users and it's growing quicker than Mastodon, being seen as viable alternative to twitter/x.
For the love of god wake up people, do you know what little percent of people know about fedi? Services like these jump to where the public is, not drags public behind it. Bluesky made huge jump publicity wise, and that's when it was already more widely known than fedi. Moaning about it doesn't help.
In perfect world, we'd have country-specific instances with all national news and announcments centralised in there, to which people could easily subscribe to. But that even sounds complex to average person, compared to "Hey, Bluesky? Yeah twitter but better".
I am in for similiar stuff everywhere I can...but if restaurant tries to make itself "QR-only", I'm leaving. I don't care. I go to eat out for experience. So by removing this experience, you remove me.
I'd appreciate QR and online orders being an option, but do not force it.
There are at least 5 places around me that have only FB account for news lol. No physical bulletin, no mails. And it's kinda normal for small, local buisnesses like bars, milk bars, fast-food, activity parks etc.
First of all, hear me out. Second of all...this meme is kindish truish. I am not speaking about trans/gay folk now tho, because gues what, back then constantly bullied people ended similiarily to today. But we do have a problem of acting like a victim being somewhat default today. People have neither security nor confidence and thus we end with...this. We glorify weakness and this sucks.
Call me a weirdo but honestly, that twist, if anything, can possibly actually make it easier to deal with? I mean it's as abstract situation as it gets x_x
Maybe if games consistently had some kind of really reliable auto-profiling mechanism that could go run various “stress test” scenes with a variety of settings to find reasonable settings for given hardware
...like most games from early 10's? A lot of them had built-in benchmark that tested what your PC is capable of and then set things up for you.
When I studied I had classes in bash lol. So when I tried out distro of linux, I found myself relying more on terminal than desktop x_x (then proceeded to terminally kill my desktop enviroment, damage some wifi apps, change shit up and had to reinstall :| )
I'm in similiar boat. I just don't wanna bother 'till I have to. I don't mind Win 10, and I am not ideologically inclined for linux so the only motivation really is simply end of updates. So, currently, there is no motivation.
Once read that Civ has a tiny little problem...and that is basically that each time they release a game, it's done. That's it, there's nothing more to add in sensible manner. So instead of FIFA approach, they try to slightly shake up the rules of the game with each version, change some mechanics, add some mechanics, maybe even drop some of them.
