  • If the sun became a red giant tomorrow, and Earth found itself inside the outer layers of solar atmosphere, then drag would start slowing it down. In less than 70,000 years, it would fall close enough to the center to be torn apart by tidal forces like one of Saturn's moons (assuming it hasn't already been vaporized).

If we've already waited 5 billion years to have our revenge, whats another 70k? The lowest amount of Delta V we can spend on this project is zero.

  • MBFC is full of shit when describing bias - they call firmly right liberal capitalists "the left". I don't think they even have a word to describe actual socialists.

They're decent about judging the reliability of factual reporting though.

  • "STINKY" is the default SSID for Starlink routers. These stupid motherfuckers couldn't even figure out how to change the default settings. I wonder if they were using a default username and password too?

    OpSec my ass.

  • As the operator of the other circus once said, "all publicity is good publicity," and "there's a sucker born every minute."

And as the other clown, Dr. Strangelove, once said, "the whole point of a Doomsday Machine is lost, if you keep it a secret!"

The idea of a Federal cemetery being "sacred" and the strangers buried there being "honored" is so far removed from the every day fight for survival of the average, brutally exploited wageslave American, the notion that starting a fight there could budge the needle on an election lacks credibility. However, injecting the knowledge into the global zeitgeist that there's a cemetery in America where rows of uniform gravestones extend as far as the eye can see, marking the depths of USA's brutality and Will to Power - that sends a message.
