The difference is that one is singular and one is plural. "Theres a group of women" and "Theres a singlular woman"

People do often get the usage wrong but its not being misspelled.

Honestly, the only thing marketplace sucks for is cars.

Ive only ever had luck selling cars on platforms that require you to pay to list. Marketplace just gets you an endless string of time wasters and people who want it for half the asking price.

Because Facebook killed enthusiast forums for most of my hobbies and everyone migrated to FB. Thats where the knowledge is.

You wont win this one. If you think of the number of internet users in the world once you eliminate apple users, people who do everything on their phone or a tablet, people who use chromebooks but have no idea that its linux, people who "just buy a new one" whenever their laptop/desktop acts up and people who will never touch anything that isnt a prebuilt with a warranty you are left with an abysmally small number of people in the grand scheme. Thats the filters you have to apply before you get to people who might run Linux... and they are all on Lemmy.

Someone was always going to do an XL version for people who want something thats more "portable gaming station" than "handheld". I dont know why people seem to be bitching about having options.

As an Australian I do have a bit of a problem with mandatory voting. Mostly because it forces the uninformed to go vote too, so we get the same breed of fearmongering and sensationalist headlines on the newspaper front pages that are all owned by the same billionaires and the same idiots on social security voting for the party that would abolish social security because Facebook told them the other party wanted to let muslims rape their girlfriend.

But the voting on the weekend and the democracy sausage we definitely got right.
