I hope you never get severe depression or any physical illness that wants you to commit suicide. Because I doubt that you would last long, considering you clearly never delt with any of that before.
So we just let people suffer until society changes itself? And even then there will be people where damage is already done.
Assisted suicide is fundamentally the same thing as non-assisted suicide,
I agree that those things are related. But with assisted suicide people get the option to properly say farewell, have a guarantee they won't suffer and don't risk mentally scarring first responders or otherwise involved people unnecessarily.
They'll do it anyways, so why not make it less horrible for them?
Assisted suicide and abortions are tied to informed consent and aren't really something that can be done 'on a whim'. (Obviously abortions should be easier to get access to than assisted suicide)
Getting murdered nonconsenting (through war or the death penalty) is something completely different.
I feel like a lot of replies here have the same "every live is precious and needs to be protected at all costs"-vibe as you get with a lot of anti-abortion arguments.
I don't think the internal wear-leveling and overprovisioning of SSDs can or should be able to replace raid. Disregarding a dead sector without losing capacity is great, but it won't help you when (for example) the controller dies.
Depending on the amount of data you're storing SSDs also might be too expensive.
The only exception is maybe Raid 0 in a normal PC. Here it's probably better to just get one disk for each logical drive.
Software quality was pretty good. Security updates were sometimes 3-4 months behind and would combine a few monts when they did get released. When I contacted them about it I was told that not all security patches google issues apply to them. I don't have a way of verifying that.
With "normal" updates to different Android versions they where also slow, but I guess that's normal with most Android vendors.
The biggest bummer with that phone was that they killed the module-feature halfway trough it's livecycle in some regions. (You could snap modules to the back that would add additional stuff like a 360° Camera or a bigger Speaker)
There is an official lineageos build for the z3 play which still gets updated I believe.
Even very recent motorola phones get lineageos pretty soon after release. (Not shure tho if that includes all or just the flagships)
You're just moving the goalpost at this point.
