  • Yeah and hasn't she lost pretty much every case she's brought forward? She failed big fucking time with the Microsoft/Activision merger even though all the antitrust evidence was right in front of her nose. I'm glad the FTC is trying, because they're actually doing their job, but they're doing an awful job when it comes to actually being in court and proving their case.

People shit on Sony for trying to block the merger, but they absolutely were right for trying to block it and now games like starfield, the new Indiana Jones, and probably more in the future will be deliberately left off the PlayStation platform altogether. But that's all okay right? Because now you get call of duty on gamepass!!!!!!! RIGHT????!!?!???!????

  • Yeah, the sad thing about Devin AI is that they're clearly doing it for the money, they have absolutely no intentions on bettering humanity, they just want to build this up and sell it off for that fat entrepreneur paycheck. If they really cared about bettering humanity they would open it up to everyone, but they're only accepting inquiries from businesses.

  • Only reason I still have windows is for Geforce now. Unfortunately the web browser version doesn't support 1440p 120fps and it's stuck using h.264 on Linux with AMD. The good thing is that once it's setup I don't really need to interact with Windows much since I literally open GFN and discord and that's pretty much it.

  • Because it's a pendantic and contrarian remark that makes you look like some kind of self-indulgent prick. The fact that you can't just say "you're stupid" and had to make sure you sound intellectually superior just reaffirms my observation.

  • Ninja Blade would like a word with you, along with every shovelware game they made that wasn't armored core. It is well known at this point FROM were in financial trouble before demon souls.

  • And this is what Sony was afraid of, why buy on PlayStation when I can play it on XCloud with gamepass for a fraction of the price? Especially if all I care about is the campaign which doesn't take lightning fast reflexes and can be played with a small amount of latency.

This is also why the EU was worried about cloud gaming competition, but Microsoft played the long game with gamepass and now it doesn't matter if their stuff is on other cloud platforms as long as they get that gamepass sub.

The thing is, this whole buyout was Microsoft spending "fuck you" money. They can't beat PlayStation right now, so they're playing dirty, shifting their business elsewhere and buying out the competition. Their whole business strategy is just hoping nobody gives a shit at this point, and if someone does give a shit they'll just pay the fines and continue.

  • Yeah you're full of shit, sorry but I've never heard of any of these issues happening. The only thing I can think of is you used the wrong ISO that wasn't for Nvidia or something. Also, you want HDR then use KDE, so you want something like KDE Neon or Kubuntu. As for fonts looking like shit, again, it's all down to your drivers would be my guess, meaning you're the one who downloaded the wrong ISO for pop_os. I'm running an all AMD build, maybe you should look into that I guess if you literally can't click install on the hardware drivers applet in any modern Linux distro.

  • Linux exists people, without copilot using your information for training data and if you game, has Valve releasing updates like crazy for proton making it easier and easier to use Linux for gaming. The only thing I use Windows for is GeForce now as the windows and Mac apps are the only way for me to play 1440p 120fps with their service.

Good beginner distros: pop_os, Ubuntu, Linux mint, Nobara or fedora, Garuda, Manjaro, solus, zorin. The possibilities are really endless. Just take your pick, make a bootable USB and try it out.

  • We've stuck with fire tablets forever, they can install the Google Play store and the kids tablets still receive updates a few years later. The newest ones have USB-C, headphone jack, good enough WiFi for us 2.4 and 5GHz, and can be picked up under $100. The 8" version is really good and they have a 10" version as well. I know fire os isn't amazing and gets a ton of flack but it works for what it's designed to do.

  • I've briefly used bard before they rolled it into Gemini and bard was really quick and accurate. Now that bard is Gemini they seem to have deliberately handicapped the performance of the free product as it really needs very specific prompts to get an answer that's helpful and takes twice as long as bard. Currently I use codeium (not to be confused with codium which is another ai code product) for code reviewing and a linter, and bing AI for general questions. Bing AI is quick, but I've noticed it provides the simplest and quickest answers it can provide, almost like it provides the first answer it finds and nothing else, that can be good and bad. As for copilot, I refuse to pay for it because it really is a good product and should be available to everyone that wants to learn coding, but I get it, they gotta make money I just think it's bullshit to withhold something like that.

  • Last epoch, path of exile, grim dawn, Torchlight 1,2 and if you want to suffer 3, if you can suffer through Korean p2w nonsense then lost ark, and also titan quest. All of these games are on multiple platforms.

  • I tried the demo, it has a lot of problems outside of it being a AAA single player shooter. The "magic" system is just reskinned guns, the story is nonsensical at times, and the movement is stiff and slow. It's like they never play tested the game and just said it was done one day. That's not even mentioning the almost ten minute walk around the city at the beginning doing nothing but following what I will assume is a non critical character to the plot.
