  • Interesting to hear of a shared hallucinations. Were either of you under the influence, or (feel free not to answer) have any serious mental health disorders that could explain it?

  • Good news, Lemmy 18.3 did fix it, no issues replying to you and I didn’t have to manually select my language, it was auto set to English! Hopefully 18.3 gets rolled out to everyone’s instances posthaste!

  • Hey there, a patch for the reply issue was added to Lemmy 18.3. I’m just testing if it seems to have fixed it.

  • If he has front pant, should have back pant

  • “So you can craft your own unique blend of coffee flavours.” You can mix mild bran with strong bran. For a deliciously unique medium bran flavour.

  • Thanks for sharing your beautiful work!

  • Wow, I don’t know what any of this means, but it’s a great shot, and looks like a lot of work went into it. How long did it all take?

  • Fried eh, Knight?

  • This is a Lemmy problem. Some communities only allow certain languages. For some reason, some posts and comments can get through on an unsupported language. For example comments from Kbin come through as an Undetermined language (despite have the language selected in Kbin). When you try to reply to these posts or comments, Lemmy will automatically set your reply in the same language, if it is unsupported by the community, you will get this error.

If you go directly to your Lemmy web page (not in Voyager) and try to reply, the Post button will just spin indefinitely. To post successfully, you will need to specifically enter the language in the selector below your comment.

There has been a patch to fix it in Lemmy, but I’m not sure when that will filter done to our instances. Voyager are tracking the issue here.

  • I agree that original content is the cream we need, but we shouldn’t throw out the rest of the milk while we’re still hungry (for content).

  • X’s (giving and taking) days are over

  • When I first bought the speakers/displays they seemed to be releasing software updates at a quick pace, but it seems like they have slowed to a crawl. Classic Google to abandon products to move onto the next shiny thing.

Over the last year or so there was big cuts to the Google Assistant teams, and then they merged the Assistant and Bard teams together.

Personally, I’ve recently had issues with one of mine not turning off the display at night. I was also really disappointed when they stopped integrating with third party shopping list apps. My devices are definitely less useful now.

  • You mean to tell me you thought there would be boobs in movie about a children’s toy?

  • Thanks for looking into it. I did find the debug console setting while I was poking around earlier. It needs to connect to a PC so I’ll give it a go tomorrow.

  • Such whiskers!

  • That’s a newer addition, when it first came out under a conservative Goverment, all welfare was grouped together.
