  • I'm afraid I can very specifically say that's the opposite of my experience with the country. In fact, I can say the goalposts changed twice in the time after I moved so things changed from relatively easy to work legally to needing to leave because of lack of viable options despite owning property on Canadian soil.

  • They kinda awkwardly ignore the brunt of the topic, more heavily implying the point. I'll update you with the "And don't come fucking back" when I know more though I've heard it's rather passive aggressive.

  • Xmanager is perfectly safe, been using it for a couple of years now. For a client, I recommend Spicetify. Setup is a bit more involved than a simple launcher but all instructions are provided and as simple as copy/paste. It also has editable themes and plugins for all kinds of additional functionality via a (free) marketplace. I've been using that for about 3 years and now won't accept anything less.

  • For the majority of disc-based media, any large store would do the job too if we're talking post apocalypse situations but a lot of games these days are absolute crapfests without the plethora of updates. As for servers, I did specifically mean places to download from, not stream. I'd already be downloading every film and TV show I could think of I might like or have already seen and think I'd like to rewatch someday.

That said, the internet is also my means of satisfying my social needs since all of my friends live in different countries. Without that and them, the dire loneliness sets in real quick like.

And libraries have a lot of books, I agree and I already enjoy reading but I have relatively niche tastes that would likely only be catered to by large libraries so the vast majority of a small library's collection would be worthless to me. I know the end of the world is more a "any port in a storm" kind of situation but if I'm just running down the clock before the last human alive becomes the last human to have lived, I'm not really looking to pad that time out by reading How to Win Friends and Influence People or 15 different DIY books.

  • There are some methods in this post that cover how to scrape from Fansly. You can view the post without an account but you'll need one to access provided links. Depending on your level of comfort, there are tools that rely on Python but I personally recommend this one for ease since it's a simple installable .exe for PC.

Out of curiosity, who is this model?

  • That's what anti-virus and common sense are for. If you're downloading from a dodgy site and are unsure about if it's a virus, don't download. The megathread is a good tool for websites that are deemed safe and there's always a post or few on what sites are safe, what are fakes, so on and so forth. When you've found sources that work for you, keep them. Popular sources will have everything but the most niche of content.
