  • Its not helping since liberals keep pushing anti-gun propaganda and pass restrictive gun laws that allows the police to have the discretion deny gun permits, while hillbillys in a red jurisdiction can just walk into a walmart and get a gun without any of this "permits" requirements.

Its almost like Democrats are secretly helping the far right by attemping to disarm people left-of-center.

  • A utopian post-scarcity society of an intelligent space-faring species with kindness and compassion as core of society and having achieved immortality (in the biological sense)

Because I feel like I'm "missing out" after watching space sci-fi tv shows. This era still feels kinda primative.

  • Many of the Russian invasion forces have desserted/defected to Ukraine. IDF could do the same. I mean like just run far away, never look back.

It wont be easy to desert, but like, if you are part of the russian invasion force, you're gonna get shot, same with the IDF. If its "not your fault" for being conscripted, is also "not their fault" for the opposing side to shooting the invaders, the opposing side is also "just doing their job".

  • Spoofing IMEI isn't helping if OP pays for the service with bank account / credit card, or walks in a store to pay but with face exposed, or turns on the cell-hotspot device on at home (because they'll be able to associate the SIM/Service-Plan with your address via cellular triangulation, and thus your identity)

  • I don't know how to feel about it.

On one hand, people should probably be brushing their teeth anyways, so if you brush your teeth and also have flouridated water, seems a bit excessive?

But on the other hand, life is stressful and I'm dealing with depression and I often forget to brush my teeth... so like... idk I don't have enough info to have a strong opinion on it. There's pros and cons to both side of the flouride debate.

  • By hiding the IMEI, the provider won’t be able to associate the device with me when I use it solely on public Wi-Fi such as in a café

I think you're a little confused. Connecting to Public Wifi (or any wifi), will not reveal IMEI, it does reveal your Wifi MAC Address, and if you have Bluetooth on, it will reveal your Bluetooth MAC Address, but will not reveal your IMEI (unless you have malware on your phone).

In modern smartphones, including iOS, Android, and especially GrapheneOS, Wifi MAC addresses are spoofed by default, generating a random MAC address for each Wifi network. You can even go to Developer settings of Android to enable randomization for each different session of the same wifi network (or you can "forget" the network and reconnect and, from my testing, it would immediately change the MAC address for that network).

Although, if you have iOS or Google's Android, you can't be sure if the companies themselves are tracking you, but but a privacy Android ROM (like GrapheneOS) with Wifi MAC randomization enabled should be very safe.

Keep Airplane mode on so it stops connecting to cell towers.

    Though I’m still curious about:

May I also ask how much information is carried to the second device by using hotspot? By this I meant the phone with IMEI will be able to know my device name, but what else? Will the phone with IMEI also be able to know the device model?

Your device name and Wifi MAC address is revealed, so change the default "Google Pixel" to something else to hide the fact that it's a Google Pixel. But, some wifi access points can detect your device model anyways. My Xfinity gateway will show my Phone's name and what model of phone I have. So I'll just assume that: Device Name, Device Model, and MAC (which is randomized) is known. Shouldn't be that much of a privacy risk unless Google Pixels aren't popular in your area. If there are a lot of Google Pixels around, they can't prove it was your Google Pixel.

  • I think that the multiverse exist and we're the 1% of timelines that the cold war didnt go hot.

Imagine Stannislav Petrov tripping on a banana peel and ending up in the hospital instead of going to work and monitoring for nukes, or if Vasily Arkhipov suddenly develops caustrophobia right before that submarine mission to Cuba.

  • Is it a good enough solution for IMEI tracking to use an alternative device to provide a hotspot connection?

    What?

So you wanna use another phone as a hotspot and connect your GrapheneOS Phone to it?

I mean, what exactly do you mean by "IMEI Tracking"? Location?

Well they won't know the location of your GrapheneOS Phone, but they'll still know the location of your alternate phone. Not sure what you're trying to achieve here.

  • Nah I don't like this line of thinking. Reminds me of "Once a Criminal, Always a Criminal". Not very progressive in my opinion.

That being said, OP has been constantly putting "so I cheated" in every post, seems like agendaposting/trolling.

  • Desensitation, perhaps. Informations flows more freely now, you hear protests/riots/rebellions everywhere, it just feels "standard" nowadays.

I've seen so much conflict on the news from all around the world. BLM in the USA, Hong Kong anti-extradition, France retirement age increase related protests, Serbia peaceful protesters getting blasted with an energy weapon (yes the governement used an actual energy weapon, its not a conspiracy theory), "Freedom" Convoy in Canada, UK Xenobophic Race Riots, Syrian Civil War, Invasion of Ukraine, Israel-Palestine conflict and war crimes, etc...

    Conflict just became "normal".

  • SCOTUS being appointed isn't exactly the issue. It's the fact that only the senate can give input, and since the senate favors the right wing, its composition is biased. House has no say in this, and that's not very balanced.

Also 9 judges is too few, easily flipped in 1 administration we saw in 2017-2021.
