  • Millennial consumption is the USAs saving grace. Japan and UK don’t have an equivalent population of late 20 to 40 something’s to boost consumption.

That is the core problem for the West. There are no Western countries that have an equivalent Millennial population to boost consumption. This means is the US falters there is no one else to drive growth.

Mexico and a few other BRICS (Not China or Russia) are some of the few countries that are economically advanced enough and have a large young population. But they are either not integrated enough or not advanced enough economically to make a difference.

  • No acknowledgement that your prior post had zero facts or even a basis in reality when it came to criminal law? No matter how many facts I just put out there you just want to move the goal posts and fall back to how you feel criminals calculate when to use guns or not.

Your feelings don’t constitute an argument I respect or wish to engage in further.

  • Science, science can predict it. We have models that were created over 40 years ago that predicted current global warming trends.

We have models that accurately predict population trends as well. But it’s pretty simple, when you have an agrarian based economy people tend to have many children because they are helpful around the farm. When a society urbanizes having a dozen kids is now a burden and birth rates plummet.

China urbanized within a generation. Stack on the effects of the one child policy and they are no longer reproducing at a rate to replace their current population.

  • That is a nicely organized wall of text, you seem to have put a lot of effort into it. Too bad it is mostly opinion and isn’t true.

Merely possessing a firearm while committing a crime in St Louis is a class D felony and is punishable by up to 7 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Using a firearm in a criminal offense is also a class D felony and is punishable by up to 15 years in prison depending upon the criminal history of the defendant. In the US multiple crimes can stack the charges. So a defendant could be looking at a lifetime conviction.

Some very basic Googling would have revealed this to you. Most of this can be found under MO statute 571.

I’m not an expert on UK law but from some more basic googling it seems the laws range from 7 years for purchasing to life for the actual use of a firearm.

Once again laws don’t deter criminals, they just punish honest citizens.

    1. The US has the right to bear arms enshrined in our constitution. I don’t need any justification beyond it is my right. Feel free to give away you personal rights in your own country, I could care less.
    2. Gun control doesn’t work because criminals don’t pay attention to laws. The only people who will follow the law are the non-criminals.
  • I love purple or other weird colors/ features in houses. It means I can get the property with less competition as most buyers are afraid of basic renovations.

My house had shitty purple walls and weird space age looking chrome light fixtures everywhere. Took me a while two days after closing to paint and replace it all. I was the only person who had put an offer in.

  • Its simple demographics. China hasn’t run out of kids, they did that 20 years ago after 1 child policy had been in effect for over 20 years. China is running out of adults on their 20s and 30s. They don’t have the enough people in the right age range to replace their numbers even if they could get young adults to have more kids (hint they are not convincing anyone.)

China is currently one of the fastest aging nations on the planet and it’s only going to get worse.

  • My solution is to treat the cause. Mental Health and crime are certainly the two leading causes of mass shootings.

A living wage, universal healthcare services, and a fair regulated economy Are solutions to the cause of the problem.

I am not a liberal, I am a leftist. I think we have moved far too much to the right in this country which is why we have many of these problems in the first place.

  • You are free to ensure your own safety. If you choose to depend upon others that is certainly your decision to make.

Statistically conceal and carry holders are the safest segment of society. I would much rather be in a room full of registered conceal, and carry holders than police, or any other segment of society.
