  • He accused me twice of calling leftist fascists (which is funny because that would include myself) by completely twisting my words about some very specific case of left leaning extremistic views, the second time temp banning me. Then later he turned the temp ban into a perma ban by accusing me of abusing people over DM, which is even greater bullshit.

excluding the two DMs I tried to send out asking to stop the mod abuse, for clarification on that matter and why he's having it out for me. No reply so far.

  • I almost never seen any moderates being called a Tankie. Only when they end up making apologies for said examples, or more recently for various terrorist groups like hamas. Granted, I'm just left leaning and stay out of economic philosophies but I've clashed a lot in political topics with the definitely Tankie heavy user base on here.

  • LateStageCapitalism was already a Tankie disinformation cesspool on Reddit. Not sure why it is on .world instead of .ml or lemmygrad though.

But generally, Lemmy mods are just users. So just like on Reddit, you'll get all the flaws of this system with tons of mod abuse. If you have opinions that other's don't like, they'll punish you for it and make up a bunch of bullshit to justify themselves.

  • In before HL 1 & 2 remaster disappointments. Or just absolutely nothing happening, just like all the previous copium rumors. I think I stopped caring back with the recorded soundtrack rumors, which already feel like an eternity ago at this point.

  • Yeah, that just seems like an invitation for review bombing (the undeserved kind). I'd probably just disable unowned reviews for titles released past a certain date, assuming your hypothesis is indeed the original intend behind it.

  • Same. Steam user reviews seems fairly positive though, which is surprising with how much games get trashed there by the wokeism babies.

Personally I think the trailers look horrid though and I was fed up with those cartoon graphic styles when they came out a couple decades ago already.

If you're looking for a story about friendship & adventure, then I'd rather suggest CrossCode, which is highly "underrated" (not so much by ratings but its lack of exposure).

  • I try to explain this to people...

You mean US citizens. I've had "Americans" chime in on that as well, when I explained that for people who are not from the US, that "America" is not just the US of A but all of the Americas, and that Americans are not just people from the US either.

  • Technically the AfD is actually pro immigration.

But the tone quickly becomes sharper. We have to make sure, says Lüth, that the Federal Republic is even worse off, because that would play into the AfD's hands politically: “If everything went well now (...), the AfD would be at three percent. We don't want that. That's why we have to think about a tactic between: How bad can things get for Germany? And: How much can we provoke? It's like this. (...) It's difficult, very difficult.” All of this was “discussed at length” with Alexander Gauland.

In the end, Lüth even indulges in violent fantasies. Lisa Licentia asks him: “Above all, it sounds as if it would be in your interest for more migrants to come?” Lüth replies: “Yes, because then the AfD will be better off. We can always shoot them all later. That's not an issue at all. Or gas them, or whatever you like. I don't care!”

  • Money can buy influence. Although the multi party system in Germany inherently makes it more protected against meddling, since you'd somehow have to buy out all or at least most major parties. And with where the AfD stands it is hard to find any allies here. The FDP unsurprisingly supported Musk before this article but backpedaled hard right after.

  • I dropped out with Origins, which was kind of painful because I really hate not finishing a series (Mass Effect in this case). But that of course was just the last straw after all the bullshit EA pulled and all the studios & franchises they destroyed over the decades. I don't even think they could ever redeem themselves at this point, not that they even make any effort to do so anyway. EA is just a rotten company and the epitome of all that is wrong within the gaming industry.

  • I just think that when we got fascism latching on to western governments it might be a more pressing concern than climate change. Not because climate change isn't the main fucking problem, but because they will ignore it.

Again, by that metric you should already act now, because the world is collectively ignoring it.

  • It's not possible due to your location or finances?

    Both.

You could stand with the rest of us when the shitstorm finally comes to our doors and fight.

Stand with whom? And do what? The majority of people don't want to have climate policies, since they'd directly affect their own personal comfort. What makes you think they'd suddenly play revoluzer? And what shitstorm do you mean? Most of the severe consequences will be way off in the future and by the time things get worse, people will align more and more with the people who promise empty shit and to deal with all the climate refugees at the borders. You'd be made an example at that point. And honestly, if you were this determined, why not do something extremistic now? If you truly believe in some sort of armed insurgence in the future, why not go and blow up some fossil fuel & high emission shit? Why wait for when things become more and more inevitable?
