Agreed. I see supply chains (both production and logistics) for all sectors either disappearing all together or becoming severely limited. This will drive population reduction and the development of local economies. Local food production will become the highest valued commodity but the primary input (water) will be increasingly scarce and valuable. Rainwater harvesting will be a priority for all along with solar energy production and storage.
I have dreamed about the ability to do this for so long. Cut US communications off and prohibit travel in/out. You can come out in 100 years when you're ready to play nice.
One could argue that we (humans) are doing exactly what we are meant to do and that the climate change isn't a 'problem' on the grander scale.
Change is only 'bad' based on perspective. Climate Change could also be the pressure catalyst that drives evolutionary change. The pressure exerted on coal underground could be considered 'bad' for the coal but it also drives the transformation of coal into diamond.
I would start blasting through school, saving every penny to invest in known companies, get a degree in my current specialty field but start working in it earlier, quit when my investments pay off, retire early and live a completely new life.
You can buy Ficus trees in pots (easy care, no mess, propagate easily) pretty much anywhere in the world on local market places (facebook, gumtree, craig's list, etc) and use them to block/soften the wall and bring in some colour i.e. green leaves + pot colour. A few of those with some string/fairy lights and poof ... endless tranquility! (individual experience may vary).
