This country has always been pretty awful.

We just had a short golden age where we taxed the fuck out of rich people and were simultaneously benefitting from the spoils of a World War.

Millennial about to turn 41.

I'm tired.

I'm not particularly fond of my fellow Americans anymore.

And I don't have an ounce of patriotism left.

This country can go ahead and fuck itself. Which it appears to be doing pretty thoroughly. Dumbest fucking country in the history of the world if you take into account its wealth and influence compared to its quality of life and happiness index.

Weighing how much effort/money it would take to get Canadian citizenship and whether I have that kind of energy left in me.

I'd show conservatives statistical data proving beyond doubt that Republicans are historically bad for our economy, but all I'd get in return are blank stares and drooling. So what's the point?

Looking into purchasing a firearm. Too many stupids in this country. Have to protect myself.

If you expect conservatives to learn anything from this experience, I can promise you on my life that they won't. They will not deviate from voting R under any circumstance in existence.

Best we can hope for is independents getting a clue and helping swing the next election, if there is one, back to the grownup party.

I wish upon a star that we could be a generation that takes power back for the average worker and uses our strength in numbers as leverage to have a better quality of life by making the wealthy pay their fair share.

That's because, like every other egotistical rich asshole, he has surrounded himself with yes men who are only around to eat his crumbs.

Imagine living your life unaware that no one around you actually likes you.

Country isn't big enough for both those egos. We all know the breakup is coming. Just a question of when.

One thing for sure is Americans will have a blast being distracted by it instead of educating themselves and voting responsibly.

Yeah. Most likely not. We've only had the ability to actually extinct ourselves for a very short period of time and we've already used nuclear weapons on civilian populations and threatened to use them repeatedly ever since. It's only a matter of time.

When one flies, they all start flying. And if we don't do it that way, we'll simply burn up all the resources this planet provides and pollute the fuck out of our ecosystem.

I'll hold out a glimmer of hope, just cuz everyone likes rooting for the underdog, but realistically, the human species is probably just a temporary thing in the big picture.

Nuclear proliferation is just incredibly risky

You could argue, convincingly, that it's incredibly risky not to.

Ukraine.

They made a deal with Russia to give up their nukes in exchange for Russia never invading them. Fast forward a handful of years and Russia invades them and they have no nukes as deterrent.

We're moving into a future where everyone is going to need nukes as a deterrent from being invaded.

Sucks, but humans are stupid, violent animals.

Well, they share a very long border with what is now an enemy. So yeah, probably.

Lol. This pussy ass country is so susceptible to wealthy people. Like, I get it. Money talks. But giving a fucking unelected immigrant clearance to so much shit that is supposed to require strict security clearances.

We're just giving everything away. We aren't even bargaining. We're just letting people with big numbers in their bank accounts rape us without using any leverage against them at all.
