Thanks. I’ve seen a few sellers showing the battery health of their Deck, so I might choose one of these.

I'll probably end up playing a lot of strategy games or ps3 era games on 720p with 30 fps on the big screen so I hope what you mentioned won't be a problem.

I also hope it'll be smooth jumping from portable mode to docked mode (a bit like the Switch) and it'll be able to directly go into 720p30fps mode without having to set it up all the time.

Yeah I kind of agree. What I wanted to say is that they are part of the games I would have wanted to play but never did. Sorry if it made you feel old 😅

I remember being stressed when I deactivated the S mode on my Surface Go 1 as if I was about to make a big mistake😅

That was way before (re)discovering Linux and installing Fedora on it.

Finally I’m seeing someone giving proof that games were more expensive back in the days.

Of course the gaming market was smaller, but I remember my parents buying me shitty games for a really high price.

I’m not asking for a price increase, but clearly games were more expensive in the 80-90-00s.

It’s so cool to see that Valve is really trying to make it as repairable as possible.

Really interesting article! I love reading about manufacturing processes and the business side of gaming.

I think I enabked it, but it’s clearly not the same as the system from the old games.

I’d have loved turn based combat to remain in FF7 remake.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the remake bit it doesn’t feel as tactical as the old one in my memory.

Oh I love Gnome too. It’s 95% perfect and I ain’t sure I can find better.

Yeah I should clearly wait more before upgrading. I kind of know it’s, but I keep repeating the same mistake😅

Still, at one point, I might try to reproduce what I love about Gnome (1 window per workspace and the ability to switch between them) in KDE.

This is really annoying.

I’m trying to use as little extensions as possible so I only use 4. 2 out of them haven’t upgraded to 48 yet and aren’t usable for now.

This is especially annoying because I’m trying to respect Gnomés philosophy with my extensions..

From what I’ve seen there is the Broken Road DLC but it doesn’t bring any new story.

I really enjoyed it even if the story was a bit bad in some parts (not sure but I remember the beginning being pretty bad). I’d be happy to play a second one if it happened to be developped.

I’m sure the work isn’t gonna be lost and someone might step up.

I know it’s easy to say as I’m doing nothing to help them, but I’m pretty optimistic work is still gonna get done.

Of course a Steam Deck would be better suited, but it’s great to see people pushing the limits of what can be done.

That’s how Linux is gonna be able to save M Macs once they don’t get MacOs updates.

I’m curious about your experience with a M1 Mac on Linux. Are you using Asahi Linux then?
