  • For sure, but I can spout some extremely negatively charged words at my printer from time to time. I understand snapping at a percieved inanimate object, and i respect them owning up to their mistake.

  • I was gonna say with the prevelance of air conditioning. In warmer places that have ample water supply but little AC, i would expect more showers as people sweat throughout the day and don't want to be stinky.

I shower once a day in the morning, but i almost never sweat because im almost always in the AC.

  • If you invest in oil, then you should want higher gas prices. If you want lower gas prices, then i recommend not investing in oil. If you want energy independance, then you should be championing green energy initiatives and electric cars as much as drilling new claims, even if you yourself dont plan on getting an ev it reduces national dependance.

Oil companies got crushed under trump with the insanely low gas prices of 2016 2017 (i think it was saudi selling at a loss to take market share that time), then again under covids reduced demand and more opec suppliers flooding the market and stealing market share (also under trump). Then they cut production to match demand and cut costs. You can't just turn a well off and back on, so when demand rose gobally post covid and foreign suppliers cut back production at the same time to reap the profits, the US lagged in ramping up production, and their record profits (under biden) didnt incen tivise them ramping it up. Those 5$ gas prices made the stock go up.

The president does influence gas prices, but not much. Here's a decent video on gas prices.

  • After reading it I feel the rape part is by far not the worst part of what they did. How long were these fucking criminals getting away with this shit. If he hadn't shot him (reads like he meant for it to not fire the second time he pulled the trigger with his gun in his mouth) then we wouldn't even know about this and they would still be out there posing as police officers

  • Hot damn is this real justice happening in Mississippi! Drain the swamp would be used in the proper context here. Monsters dressed as police officers actually being fired and facing time in prison. It's a terrible story, but I'm happy to see the long dick of the federal law is swinging down that far south.

  • It's not bad at all (for me), as the other person said it cavaries from person to person. Social media likes to take shots at it but the reality is it's quite enjoyable. Mass shootings are overblown by the media (they happen, they suck, but they effect like .000001 percent of the population per year, your more likely to be killed by a deer than I vlolved in a mass shooting). Gun crime exists but is mainly in specific poor or inner city areas. The other 99% is pretty safe.

Healthcare is expensive but if you have a decent job the company pays most of it. The care provided is really good in an emergency response way, but poor for general care.

Everyone everywhere is very nice, it's extremely rare to find an exception to this. If you are brown or Muslim then you may find descrimination more often outside the city, but again that's rare unless you go to a few areas that no one goes to anyway. My friend is Muslim and doesn't have many issues unless he goes to the airport.

Stuff is cheap (relatively) compared to elsewhere. You can get a cheap 65" TV for like 350 bucks. Housing is expensive though unless you go to places that are cheap.

It is corrupt politically. That is going downhill, but day to day it doesn't effect us much.

You have to drive everywhere which kind of sucks. Public transport sucks and it's hard to find places where you can just walk around.

The air is pretty clean, the food and water is safe to eat and drink, there are plenty of jobs available, there are lots of massive beautiful outdoor spaces, etc.

  • YYMMDD filename.ext

Windows auto sorts it so any folder or any code reading it reads it in order without needing anything special. It shortens the filename, it's fast to type on the number pad
